So I was just wondering how far behind I am in the player owned ports mini-game deal. I know some people have already made full sets of Tetsu, and are selling for large amounts of money. Just seeing how everyone here in Villavu is coming along in their POP's.

Right now I can only get slate, and 65% of the way to the next area.. I have 3 scrolls for my tetsu helm, and 4 plates. Fully manned crew for 2 ships, withl all the unlocks up to the next area's rewards.

**Side note: I think the Runescape section should have a sub-section for News. The Runescape News section. :P General is swamped with news articles :D

I haven't started yet I can't imagine why anyone would actually buy tetsu besides to show off wealth.

It is the strongest in the game, however it degrades to destruction at the 10 hour mark unless you make it for yourself. Making it for yourself is worth slightly higher stats and the ability to repair it.

It has little more lp and def bonus than torva but torva has dmg bonus so tetsu is useless.

I dont see why they wouldn't add it in there with it in the future, it takes forever to obtain to be useless.

This is true. I'm sure there will be a set bonus or special affect put in.

Im sure once it becomes popular, the issue will arise. Seeing as it can take up to a month+ for some people to obtain just one peice of the armor.

Like Scrimshaw's, I think the effects should be boosted to atleast 12hours. 4hours, when it takes like 3-4hours per scroll, and 2-4 hours for each ancient bone. Just my thoughts. :P

I reckon once they start to focus on some of the existing material and reworking it we will see hopefully alot more interesting developments occur.

It has been confirmed that PoP armour will be getting set effects also. And tetsu armour is far from useless even without them. If you think damage > armour, then you must think that void renders torva useless.

I have yet to try it. I need 90 fishing to be able to do all of the tasks, the rest of the requirments I have.

Oh man! That is awesome news to hear.. Im glad that im not wasting my time on getting the armor. Going to make it untradeable too, I dont care about the gold.

yeh damage>armor so torva is pretty useless, only place where is use torva is kalphite king cos i don't wanna die in mage phase, everywhere else i use voids.

Wait until everyone, from maxed players to lower levels start full on farming PoP in 2-3 months. I think prices are about to go crazy.

And nice job on your progress. I just unlocked the place with the cherrywood trees.

True, the armor will lose it price quickly. Just going to make a full set for myself, then make some to sell. ;)

Aww man! Thats no fun, gotta get started so you can have the best armor without buying it! ;)

I actively maintain my port, I'm now in the region where you acquire Jade. I'm just under 1,000 in Port Rank. It's really quite simple to do the ports, just put together a crew, adjust your ship, start a voyage, and go back to doing whatever you were before. You can bring your Port Book around with you to check up on your ships any time you want, as well as teleport back to your port.

I also recommend using this nifty tool.

I'm in the place with the cherrywood. Do you think I should collect cherrywood or should I finish collecting slate/bamboo for all the port upgrades?

Haha.. like the most of us :D Just do it man, pays off in the long run. You can also get scrimshaws and stuff to help bot faster. :P *tries to sell POP to silentcore*

Haha that's funny, I looked you up before you posted and saw that you had achieved 99 Summoning. Congratulations, looks like I really helped out a lot there with collecting 20K charms…

I'd personally recommend working on the cherrywood (and any & all forgotten scrolls / trade good voyages) so you can buy better crew & ship upgrades. Then when you have a strong crew/ship go back and get the materials for upgrading your port.

I HAD NO IDEA THERE WAS A BANK IN THE WORKSHOP! How convenient.
