I have been running Simba with out a problem for the longest time. After installing a new OS, I decided to install Simba to code a bit and have fun.

When I sit down to test if Simba is installed correctly, I come to this error
Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'srl/srl.simba' used from ''

I have never had anything like this before and was hoping for a solution for it.

Enable srl.sex extension and update it. Follow a simba setup guide.

As riwu said. It's important to understand that the simba basic installation doesn't come with everything. The includes have to be downloaded by enabling the srl extension and updating it. Same goes with other key elements of Simba like the DTM editor (if you want to code). I hope this gives you a better understanding of how it all works.

Don't want to be mean or anything here, but I have been coding using Simba and I have installed it multiple times before so I understand the process it takes to get it up and running.
I have tried to reinstall it multiple times and still receive that error. I updated really everything you can and nothing seems to help.

For those who may know, where does "srl/srl.simba" come from. Is it in the install folder or does it grab it some where off the internet?

It should be in simba/include/srl.
When you update SRL it will be automatically downloaded. You probably didn't update it properly if it isn't there.

You can download it manually from https://github.com/SRL/SRL-5 (click the 'ZIP') too.

Thanks, I'll have a look at it tomorrow. My home computer runs Simba and other programs with out a problem.. It's just that one computer that seems to want to have its own way. Would like to Bot and test on a separate PC, that's why I'm trying to get it up and working.

EDIT: Are there any other files that are mandatory that I should manually get if my computer refuses to?

If the auto updater doesn't work, perhaps you didn't set the permission? Make sure to run simba as admin.

Depending on the script, you may need the sps/ODTM include too.
