Laptop - HereWhat do you guys think of it? I'm thinking of getting one for some portal game recording and botting. Oh and if you think you know of something that will give me more bang for my buck feel free to link me :)

In my experience Sony VAIO laptops are way overpriced. Does it have to be a laptop? You would get more bang for your buck building a budget gaming pc.

it's ok, nothing special.. depends what you're using it for.. you'll get more graphics performance out of that and less overall cpu than most laptops. I don't recommend laptops unless someone is constantly traveling.. but if it's just for a school thing I'd recommend a far lesser laptop to do your school stuff in class.. and a desktop to do your game stuff while in house/dorm or whatever.. it could be the same price overall, far better performance overall.
really depends what you want it for, you won't get good battery life with that either

yeah, id suggest to keep shopping around this one defenatly isnt the best bang for your buck
Could you guys recommend me some laptops then?
It must be able to run BF3 with it's graphics card.
Preferably SSD inside for OS.
i5 is okay, but I would prefer i7
4gb ram minimum I don't mind going 64bit
As I noted before, No Macs.

that laptop would be fine for gaming, especially at how small it is.. it's a good buy, the cpu is lacking for heavy cpu tasks like botting etc, that's all.. though for price, naturally I'd recommend a desktop for gaming

I already Have a desktop, So yes a laptop please.
E: Yeah I also like the size, it's perfect since I am in training to become an IT specialist(A lot of traveling around the district.)

when I see people picking laptops out here, I first think of simbas.. your cpu won't be much of a number cruncher, it's more focused on strong threads than lots of threads (usually i7's are like that) so it'll be good for gaming, not good for lots of crap running (… lots as in lots!)

yea you'll have to let me know so I get an idea about it. the processor it has I am very unfamiliar with its ability. especially in this day and age it should have no problems with stuff.
