Hi ,again is me, because I'm interested in economic side of runescape.
So here is the question, why after the Jagex banned a hug amount of essence bot, the price of pure essence actually dropped to 65~75, but not raised a little. Also I have browsed the banned thread of pb, and only see the ban about dung and minning.

What if they all sold their rune essence a day before they all got banned?

Probably run by chinese gold farmers rather than those users at pb. Pure ess are in pretty low demand now since runes are cheap (due to lower rune cost of spells).

Also ge prices will take quite a while to update when there is no speculation, due to time lag for the change in demand and supply to effect the market.

Is is just low in demand, rc barely makes that much money anymore, and those training magic don't require much natures/deaths/bloods/laws/astrals anymore

This is a very unlikely scenario, but heres my thought.

So all these ess bots got banned. Now… All the other people who bot ess were like 'omg i gotta stop before i get banned too!' so they sell all their ess.
Now this is where it gets tricky.
All the runecrafters who buy ess from the ge are like 'eh bots will make the price lower and stuff, so ill keep buying under mid' (they had thought this before the bots got banned)
so there are tons and tons of offers in at ge for far below mid.
All the botters who are now dumping all their ess at mid are like 'omg itz n0t seeling!'
So then they lower their sell offers. and then again they're like 'oh mai gawd its still not selling! i better sell this at super blow mid so i can get paid before ess is worthless'
so they sell super below mid. At the same time all these runecrafters and other people who are buying ess below mid are like 'oh snap son! i got this ess for like 300% below mid! i better buy moar moar moar and stock up before the prices go back up'
so they buy for super below mid.

now a day or 2 later…
the botters who are just selling their ess now are like 'omfg its not selling and the price is taking a nose dive! i better sell at 1geepeez each so i make like 500k'
so they sell. and then all the people area already buying below mid.
and this cycle repeats until it drops. a lot.

This probably is very , but weirder things have happened.
also contributing to this as riwu has stated, lower demand for runes as rune cost in spells have gone down since eoc.

The reward is 24750 Pure Essence, multiply that by like 200k-300k (Arbitrary Number) players who have done the quest and that is 4.9 Trillion to 7.4 Trillion Pure Essence being put into the game.

It's a 1 time reward of 24750 Pure Essence at level 99 RC, but if you're not 99 RC there will be a chest where u can get more after you level up, so the maximum reward you can get overtime if you're not 99 rc is still 24750

I remember the best proggy is 1000/hrs, but if you play the Gop instead, you can get 1700/hrs on average I think

170k an hour with gop its alright, is it a f2p way of making money (dont know if gop is f2p or p2p)

Both, but you need to be p2p to exchange token for pure essence
