Edit:Turned out to be an ad, adblocker solved it

Do you have adblocker installed? I have adblocker and it is showing no ad on the header.

on chrome, nothing here. i don't think jagex would ever put that as a real part of their homepage, it would mean they're dirt poor or smth.

I discovered why you get the banner. The URL you have in that pic is: http://www.runescape.com/a=28/

The "/a=28/" might be a reference link from another site

Actually, the adds are on their homepage. They used to always say 'in associaton with SOMETHING' — i forget. but it was some company that i remember they had gotten bought out by at one point…

Adblocker was turned off actually because I had to update firefox, and that version didnt support the adblock for the previous version. That was probably it

Yeah I noticed that, but I clicked "Play Now" on the page you get when you clear your history/cache/first begin playing rs. And it led me to the /a=28/ thing. I dont know what happened, but after adding adblocker again, it seems to be fixed.
I didnt think I would find ads like that on RS

And is there any way to only adblocker certain sites? I wouldn't want to adblock Villavu if it stops Wizzup from getting money…

Run a virus scan you might have adware.
