Ok lets sort some of this stuff out.
1. The Evil Dead, was not a horror. It was a video nasty, anyone who legitimately thinks "The Evil Dead" was a proper horror is mistaken.
2. Rec and Rec 2 are stunning Horror films. Watch them (Meh on Rec 3).
3. Shrooms was ok, but it was a very cliché film, predictable and to be honest generic.
4. What are you defining as horror. There's two types. Psychological and Gory.
I pee my pants when I watch horrors :(

If multiple people recommend REC then I shall buy it next time I head to the movie store. As for me, the first Grudge was really spooky IMO, lots of suspense to put you in the situation, and minus the violence that ruins good horror films.

Many people love to watch horror movies. I also fond of watching horror movies. The best and my favourite horror movie that I have watched recently is Evil Dead. If your are not a fan of horror movies, then you must watch this movie at once.
