Opinions, reviews, how do their cars last?

I am looking at this car, but I want a reliable car as really it will be my parents car for the next 3 years but after that it is mine (I am in college, I would leave it at home and I would assume my dad would take it to work considering it would have better gas mileage than his van :p)

I really know next to nothing about cars, so any help is greatly appreciated. I am not looking for the fastest thing on the street, just something good looking with a gps (cause I get lost all the time -.-…)

lol i guess we have something in common then. i know looks, and it ain't a bad looking car. Petrol - less mileage per gallon etc, Diesel - more mileage per gallon. That's how it is here i guess.

Oh I see, yeah I don't think many cars are build with diesel capability I know a few trucks are but highly doubt to see cars in America at least.

In the eastern part of the world it is all run by diesel, petrol cars are super rare.

If you really want a V6, there are plenty of sporty V6's for cheaper. Some of them even have serious power now. The hyundai Genesis Coupe puts out something like 340 horses. I have a feeling what you're looking at is probably different than what your parents have in mind.

There are loads of diesels around. They're more expensive than their petrol variants though. Just have to do the research.

Oh for sure, but it is 4 door and gets decent mpg :p (Those were the requirements lol)
Tbh I am fine with my current vehicle (95 camry) but my parents are tired of constantly fixing it (probably already paid 3x the actual price)

In Canada you can get the VW golf in diesel (or could at one point at least), so there could be others.

Your parents are going to start setting more specific requirements in the future lol :p

Don't get that, they have horrible transmissions, and will fail.

Personally, I'm biased since I drive a Mazdaspeed 3. If you want a nice four door with good gas mileage, look into the Mazda 3.

Great and reliable cars.

If you want a car with poor owner satisfaction and mechanical reliability, get a Mitsubishi. If you want something on the other end of the spectrum, look at Mazda's lineup.

I think I just have a personal bias against domestic cars…but I wouldn't get a dodge. The Mazda 3 as Kyle suggested is probably your most economical choice for a V6 4-door, however the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is my personal goal car to own :).

Rule 1 of the owning a car manual, NEVER EVER buy a new car, they depreciate by at least 25%-50% in the first year…unless you can afford it and you love brand new cars haha
