Mining Bot Creator

UPDATED and back to working status again!
It now features a better, DTM based "clean screen" routine which hides the wheel of fortune and the action bar if any or both are open. Also the character generator relies on DTMs now.

My first script is finished. YAY, I'm kinda proud about this one, never coded anything in my whole life except in school! :D
If you don't want to read through this description, please scroll down to the end, I have a few questions for you guys :)

So you've been hit by the last banwave and all the accounts you used for mining and testing your awesome mining scripts have been burned? You just need a quickly generated throwaway account to test something mining related but are to lazy to go through all the freakin' work of creating a new character, disabling the tutorial, walking from Burthorpe to Falador, activate the lodestone, then run to the Dwarven Mine, look for Copper to quickly level up….

Or you need a lot of mining bots to quickly feed your main account with ores?

Tired of all the hard work? Want automation for all these tedious, mindless chores?

Introducing: The Mining Bot Creator

Features:
- Automatically creates a new character
- Disables the tutorial
- Walks from Burthorpe to Falador and activates the lodestone
- Enters the Dwarven Mine and positions itself right before the Copper ore, ready for your favorite powerminer to start leveling up.
- Failsafes for every step that might go wrong, with the exception of the bot going into a fight and getting killed. Run the script and wait for it to be finished - The goal will have been reached. Period*.
*Some exceptions possible
- Wait times are randomized to increase security.
- Character generation can be easily disabled in the main loop if you wish to design your char manually.
- Due to the failsafes you can basically be anywhere in Runescape, the script will always get you in the mine and in front of the ore.

Requirements:
- An email verified account

Instructions:
Just generate a new account, enter username, password and desired character name and hit run.

To-Do:
- What would really come in handy is a feature to automatically log into a world that is not overloaded with players. Especially the first walk path is extremely prone to getting stuck which results in the script looping several times which surely looks very suspicious.
- I observed it several times that the script attacks or gets attacked by trolls or burglars and doesn't run away. No idea how to fix that atm.
- The script originally used MoveMouse instead of Mouse, so the random x and y values could be made even more random. Have to check all the clickpoints and optimize things.

Questions:
How do you think the script is organized and commented, how are my standarts? This stuff matters so please give me honest feedback.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks to everybody on this forum and on IRC who answered my questions, helped me debug this. Thanks to YoHoJo and Thomas Augood for your videos. Thanks to all of you guys for being very noob friendly :spot:
I learned a lot coding this, would never have thought I could code and here I am, thanks to this community.

Disclaimer: Some code, namely the declare players procedure and login procedure were copied from another script, namely AIO PowerminerV1.1 as far as I recall. In case anything else was copied it belongs to the respective coder.

Cool idea for a script :). I'm on my phone, so I can only see as far down as the first procedure, but everything looks good standards wise. I'll look over it more later but congrats on your first script!

I suggest using bitmaps for setting up your character and reading text on RuneScape. It's not needed but would be nice to experiment with. Especially because there are two different sort of movies you can see when you login for the first time. Either one where you can esc out, or one where you can't. The one where you can press esc to exit happens around 75% of the times I'd say.

J J, could you elaborate a bit on that? Always open for experiments here but a few details would be awesome :)

He's on about the two possible screen you get when you log in for the first time.
He's suggesting using bitmaps (check tuts if you don't know how to use them :))
to fill in the info etc on the account making screens. :P

What I don't get is what you mean by using bitmaps to read the text in Runescape. From what I heard bitmaps are nice to find certain objects on the screen, so in this case it would be the different clothes and whatnot, but text? Help me out por favor.

Yes I meant finding small parts to identify the screens. If you have a bit of lagg your method fails.

Don't worry, that was Simba not the script.

The screenshots are saved here

C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\Logs\IPLogs

And they are in case you get hacked you can tell the admins the IP so they can check the IP against the accounts here.

Don't worry, I can see that your RSBank has nothing valuable.
I'll leave it be.

*knock knock* Who's there?
Another update! All new version 1.2 features less crappy programming and better failsafes. Enjoy!
Also, maybe this qualifies to by moved to the section for "real" scripts? Really think it works very well and is good enough to be seen as a valid contribution to the community, not just the first script from a total beginner :)

If you feel it is ready, you can upload it to the Runescape Scripts Section. It's all up to you :)

Either mining or utilities. The account creating part would be utilities and the mining part would be mining. So which do you think best represents what your script does?
