The main reason why people have them is that in p2p they pick up charms

Does this pet always pick it up? And do you have to tell it to go get it or is it automatic?

The pet is damn useful! ''the pet will automatically collect charms''

Wow i thought they are cosmetic pets at first.
Finally, Jagex started selling useful items that cannot be obtained in anyway in game (at least sof xp etc can be gained in-game as well).
Soon they will start selling top tier pk gears that's only available in sgs…

Yeah but wonder what the charm collection rate is, even so would a bot be better at picking up charms then the pets? That's what people need to find out

It does, but the thing that sucks is that it only picks them up randomly. I tried it at dags and it only picked up one charm every 3-5 kills :(

Why Jagex can't put more effort on that stuff :(. That pet cost 30$, not a small amount of money.

Yup. They should really release a real charm collector as a dung item, or at least update the pet so it picks up all the charms :duh:

Benny

Woah does even pick up all charms.
Dang that's ineffective and a waste of money.

Interesting why they're releasing halfworked updates.

i think it *isn't* supposed to pick up all, just that it helps u pick up most of them.

So according to that article, they collect all charm drops? Or just some of them?

After look carefully into what the pet can do, I notice that pet can only pick up one item for each defeated enemy. Is that the reason why they won't pick up charm all the time?

Well it says:

the pet will automatically collect charms

and then

The pet will only pick up one item from a slain enemy, if an enemy drops two or more items the pet will only pick up one.

So it seems like it would pick up the charm(s) if the enemy drops any.

A lot of people who have pets have told me they do not pick up all charms
