I heard u can compile smart yourself using javaw instead of java to remove the cmd window, how do you go about doing this?

I believe I was the one who said that?.. Instructions below:
1. Open SmartRemote.cpp
2. Press Control + F.
3. Replace (roughly around line 306):
4. Save the file.
5. Invoke the MakeFile to recompile Smart.
6. Copy the Files from Smart's Dist folder to Simba's plugin folder.
7. Enjoy. Happy New Year!
For some other tweaks, you can also add File.delete to Smart's Destructor to remove the stupid .PID files smart makes as well. Why? Because DeleteOnExit leaks on windows. At least that's what the Java bug reports say. It still hasn't been fixed.

not sure what u mean by .PID files, but i get files with smart.number as file extensions eg. SMART.6536 SMART.1523 SMART.1234 files, not sure if you're referring to those.
