The bot pure

After seeing some other threads on the road to 1k/2k/etc, and recently having lost the entire fortune of my main account I have set myself a new goal.

I will be working on a f2p "bot pure." My goal is to get an account from lvl 34 to 1485 using only SIMBA bots to gather any amount of experience (I will do the Blood Pact quest so I can use the amazing ShatterFighter bot). To take this even further, there will be no trading or use of the Grand Exchange at all except to buy a rune hatchet and a rune pickaxe (or toolbox items) when the time comes. Wish me luck! Updates will follow including bots used to accomplish each portion.

Evening 1:

I haven't made a new account in about 5 years… This was quite something new. The tutorial area took forever, surprised me with membership for free, and brought my stats up to:
6 attack
11 hp
2 agility
2 defence
4 herblore
2 thieving
3 cooking
2 firemaking
2 woodcutting
4 summoning (I got a ton of lamps and threw them all at summoning)

Since I can use member skills, I am aiming to shoot through Agility as fast as possible until the free membership stays on. So I set it up to start the Basic Gnome Agility Course: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92974. Needed several changes to make it more accurate in color tolerances, still breaks a lot.

Evening 2: more updates to agility script for reliability on way:
35 agility.

Evening 3: most accurate agility running now. Will continue running this tonight because I just discovered the thieving bot I was planning on using doesn't allow for level 1 usage and the only one that does is an outdated Sorceress Garden script. Tomorrow morning I will look back into getting a Thieving or Hunting script up asap, until then Agility will continue past this point:
51 agility.

Evening 4: Tried to pick up a thieving script and discovered there isn't a level 1 script yet. Will possibly rectify that soon. Instead am currently running a decent hunting script: SlushPuppy's Birdtrap. This birdtrap script also buries the bones while saving the feathers. Helpful for additional obvious reasons because of that.
52 agility
29 hunter
11 prayer

Evening 5: Continued hunting script. On Crimson Swifts ~3kxp/hour, on Wagtails ~ 7kxp/hour.
45 hunter
23 prayer

Evening 6: Continued hunting script. Started writing a basic thieving script.
52 hunter
27 prayer

Evening 7: Continued hunting script. Think my thieving script works… Time to test.
61 hunter
33 prayer

Evening 8: Botwatch weekend, left offline about 10 hours. Tested my woodcutting script a bit and went over to my much better thieving script.
62 hunter
18 woodcutting
40 thieving
5 summmoning (more lamps)

Evening 9: Ran more thieving botting.
52 thieving

Evening 10: A little bit of my thiever and then working on my woodcutter bot. Now that I can cut willows, it'll be willows until tomorrow.
55 thieving
32 woodcutting
2 crafting (lamps)
3 mining (lamps)

Evening 11: Ran the willow bot… It got stuck shortly on because apparently only up to 300 willow logs can be stored in a trial member's account. Fletched everything I could (my normal log stack). Realized I'd have to alternate running the scripts, so started overhauling the thiever to handle higher level tasks without a need for food.
40 woodcutting
23 fletching
6 summoning

Evening 12: Ran my improved thiever. Considering upgrading the script to the point of even high level capabilities. (perhaps a new bot with a goal of 99 thieving within the trial period).
59 thieving.

Evening 13:
63 thieving.

Evening 14: Ran my thiever some more and ran out of the trial membership :(
70 thieving
7 summoning
341 total

Week 3: Ran a custom-crayfish and banker and at level 35 moved to Caotom's fisher. It died a lot and needed a lot of editing to get to work on a consistent basis.
34 prayer (lamps from a week of activities and spins)
76 fishing

Good luck with this project. I have a throwaway f2p bot pure. Level 1 in everything except fishing which is at 99 (botting swordies nearly 24 hours :p) .

crazy goal man best of luck!

Thanks for all the well wishes!

Since it comes with free membership for 2 weeks I think, I will be accomplishing whatever possible member side in that time. Currently I'm running agility, however there isn't an option between Basic Gnome and Advanced Gnome (that doesn't require quests) and I doubt Basic Gnome will get me to level 85 even running 24/7 for the 2 weeks. So my next goal after 50 agil will either be hunting or thieving, leaning towards thieving so far.

Get as many member skills to 50.

Why do you train agility? does it carry on to f2p? And what agility courses will you be using?

Best of luck my friend and rep+1 for hard effort!

Heh heh, I have a bot pure total lv 906 and combat lv 4 just cause combat to me was a waste of time. Going for F2P max skiller all botted (except for dung).

Good luck (:

Absolutely will do! Agility first, thieving second, hunter third… Fletching fourth? But fletching fourth requires woodcutting too…

Thanks for the well wishing (and rep!). I'll be using the Gnome basic agility course because that's what was already out there and after some edits to it, I'm consistently getting about 6k/hour without any more failures. The next lowest course we have an existing bot for is Ashaman's Ape Atoll which requires some serious questing. After that is the Advanced Gnome course which requires level 85 agility. Not exactly something that will be reached in a decent time at 6k/hour. I've considered simply writing a new agility script, but hitting more member 50s seems a little easier for now than trying to rush out a new script just to get to 85 agility.

I chose agility for several reasons.
1) It is a member skill that costs 0 gold to start (limited membership and all). Construction costs money, fletching requires logs (lvl 1 woodcutting means it would need to be leveled first, wasting membership time), herblore requires herbs gained from farming or combat (combat wastes membership time and farming requires seeds from either thieving or combat), hunter has 1 level 1 script of a poor quality I'd need to work on, slayer (no good script), summoning needs charms, thieving has a level 1 script I need more work on. Agility had the best working level 1 script at the time and will help improve thieving gains as I move onto it next (and I can fix the other scripts while running agility).

Finally, the biggest idea behind it all is to gain practice writing scripts and improving the amount of scripts out there for low levels. For example, I'm fixing the low level thieving scripts I can find and I'm working on writing a script right now that will handle cutting normal trees so I can get those first 30 woodcutting levels before using the public willow bots. I'll also have to write a bot to get copper and tin ore, and then a F2P smelter.

Thanks! I'll add combat to mine though just because ShatterFighter is a pretty high quality combat training bot for F2P and it helps with carrying rune hatchet/pickaxes.

Unless you want to bank it, using an already made powerminer would be the fastest xp.

We are low on updated F2P smelters aren't we :)?

I wish you good luck with your botting/scripting, PM me if you want help with something :)

While powermining would be faster xp, I need the ores in order to level smithing afterwards (since another restriction is no G.E.).

Thanks for the offer though with help though! I admit I've been having incredible troubles using Smart v8.0 and have been simply downgrading scripts instead….

Whoops, forgot about the no ge rule :)

what problems were you having with smart 8?
(if you want I can help through PM so I don't clutter your thread)

1 more week down of members and a total level of 255! Considering I didn't plan on any members portions of this and so far it has spurred me to write 2 separate scripts, I'm thinking this was a good idea for a side project.

After I finish off 1, maybe 2 more days of thieving, what should I move on to? Some sort of sub-par potato farming script? Or maybe just woodcutting and fletching?

Thanks by the way, and now with a second week done, and a good chunk of higher levels, it's coming along decently well. I now have a side goal of updating my thiever to be capable of being the only thing used within a trial membership and still reaching level 99 thieving. But that will of course have to be on a new account after updating it some more.

However, within a trial membership, being limited on bots that were either outdated or that I had to write from scratch, a 341 total isn't too bad. I'm gonna drop updates to a weekly status now, but I have ever belief that it'll be at least a couple hundred levels a week for quite a while.

That request for update is over a year old. I won't be getting around to updating this anymore as I simply don't mess with RS at all anymore; although I do think it ended up reaching about 1200 in levels…

Oh :( I kinda hoped you kept going without updating. Would be interesting to see how it worked out!
