Why did my thread get locked? I wasn't insulting, swearing or cussing in any way at him. And I believe the BBQ pit exists for that reason??

I too am confused as to how he recieved jr mem and the useful poster cup. While I think alot of his posts are just in the name of a bit of fun and are discussing the topic at hand with a lighter touch, alot of what he writes is definitely spam…

Cups/ranks have never, in my experience here, been removed unless for scamming, etc. I feel like I recall a time when he had more useful posts, but I may be thinking of someone else.

Regardless, once a decision like this is made by the staff, it stands.

I asked this on IRC aswell, seems undeserved.

He posts useful things sometimes, mostly just links to tutorials. I don't think that's enough to earn the useful poster cup.

Actually this is wrong. My cups got removed because of StarBlaster was an asshole + Scammer and I got all the shit :P

I assumed that him having only the one friend as an admin was a troll, but why would WT need a second acc?

Fakawi probably hooked him up ;). I think the mods should reconsider their decisions and I'm sure many other members agree

I meant that it might be a second account. RuneHack might have another SRL forum account from let's say 2006. And is friends with WT-Fakawi so he possibly made a new account and asked him to transfer his cups and srl jr member status?

Other than that I can't think of another logical explanation. Except for the one mentioned one post above.

Admin decision.

If I were to remove a cup that he at one time earned enough for an admin to give it too him. Then that would open the door for other cups to be removed that are no longer disserved.

Basically.

If you have the Tester cup. Do you still actively test for others. If not then removed.

Randoms are gone. do we then get rid of teh random dev cup.

You wrote a tutorial but it become far outdated and isn't maintained. Remove the tut writer cup?

You got the Helper bear or the Useful poster cup but you last 10-20 post weren't helpful or useful. So should we then remove them.

Cups are earned at one point and will not be removed under normal circumstances. The same as with ranks.

Yea you make a good point Brak, he seems to have made another U-Turn with his attitude anyway :p

I think a few of us just felt he was getting quite bad and borderline non "normal circumstances"

I never sailed myself, but my uncle and grandfather have a project that's been going on for years now … trying to get their boat sea-worthy. It's still in the hangar, but hopefully my grandfather will get to take it for a spin before it's too late :). Not too sure about the dimensions, but it's a pretty big sailing boat. 17m+ or so in length.

I suspended him for attacking other users. Immediately after he created a new account which he used to spam ASCII women on the forum. I banned that account.

Maybe a new rule be put in place? If you get banned (whether it be for infractions/or something worth insta-banning) your cups may be removed?

Thats a bit silly, I've been suspended etc for attacking members EVEN though I'm defending the forum
