Just wondering where people are at with sailing (if anywhere - for those not interested).

Also thought this may help others see where they stand in relation to others too.

Don't be shy to open up on other sailing topics/port topics;

Here's my resources thus far (I think it's fairly decent, no?)

20k chimes, 500 or so bamboo, 3k gunpowder, and… 100 slate.
96% of the way to the area past the Hook Zone.
2 scrolls so far. all the upgrades for the ship i can have with slate.
Got a workshop 2 days ago or so.

do you have many port upgrades yet?

Ah no port upgrades here yet, I've been saving up for a 3rd ship slot before any upgrades to the port :s Hopefully that will help speed up the port upgrades and future upgrades too

Looks like you are doing decent with the port update!

Are ports any good? Are they like farm runs?

ive got 618.
up to 99% to the sythe region. looks like i can sleep or wait 30 mins for that. :D

I'm at scythe, got my 3 boat, around 20k chime and low amount of everything else.

Good crew though and boat is fully upgraded (with slate, not cherrywood)

I never sailed myself, but my uncle and grandfather have a project that's been going on for years now … trying to get their boat sea-worthy. It's still in the hangar, but hopefully my grandfather will get to take it for a spin before it's too late :). Not too sure about the dimensions, but it's a pretty big sailing boat. 17m+ or so in length.

You guys must have a lot of money to blow when you can afford 3 boats! That's got to cost well over a million Euros for 3 decent ships? :blink:

OT: My port ranking is ~800. I'm like 60% to the Scythe region. 3 scroll fragments and right now trying to get a third ship. I love PoP 's :D. Pretty much the only major update of the year that most people don't have a complaint about.

Lol, the only bad thing about this update :D. Can't get uber long proggies.

Aw. Well I'm 2-4% of the region after the Scythe area. I've 20k+ Chimes, 1k+ Bamboo, under 1k Gunpowder, and 4k+ Slate. Roughly 150,000 distance traveled and I'm ranked 600+. I've most of one piece of Lotus Armor unlocked.

I suck at this port stuff… But im doing my best. Slowly building more and more every day. Trying to max out my ship. :D

Like 1½-2 weeks from the beginning if you do max voyages every day.

My port score is >800 ;)

Just reached the sythe area, my first voyage in the new area for cherrywood seems a lot longer than usual (from 1hr 45mins to 3.5hrs :s)

I take it the special voyages -> some book/scroll reward works towards the new armour?

looks like some people are having a good time with this :)

Yeha I was doing well with this before I quit.

It was quit fun, although itd be even better if you could get involved yourself and maybe fight some of these battles!

Hmm, I have been going for about 2 weeks now. I cant do max voyages because of the fail of my crew. So I have to be selective.

In the captains log book that you get. I think you need to talk to the partner or that other guy next to him to receive it.

wat is this sorcery, i haven't even heard of this, much less done it.
