http://www.fiber.google.com/about/Does anyone use this/live in the area that its available in? If so, is it what it says it is?
Its supposedly the fastest internet service in all of United States.

Yes it is what it says it is, just not widely available yet
Google plan to put the rest of the ISP's to shame, protect internet privacy, and expand their fibre network as much as they can
They provide what the rest of the ISP's Should be providing if they didnt only care about profits
Unfair how the midwest gets dibs on this service then >.<

True that, but it would be interesting to see how google would do against their competitors.

I highly doubt they will go global in the next 5 years or so… They will probably have good service, but how will they provide physical support? I've never seen a google store?
Bell and Rogers have stores where they dispatch tech support- google has none of that. The amount of cash to build stores and hire tech would just be too much.

They just need a foothold large enough to cut into the customers of the other ISP's in a big enough way to make them increase their packages and lower prices,
I dont know how they provide physical support as i dont live in an area, i assume they contract the same people as the rest of the ISP's do
Google are probably the one company that you can guarentee will spread faster than any other, i mean if they were offering it in your area, would you not pay for it? I sure as hell could use a connection like that

From what I've heard, interested participants in the area have to accumulate enough neighboring interested parties even before it's brought to a new city near the border there near Kansas/MO.
No doubt it's pretty awesome, think there was a thread too somewhere about this; remember grats saying he wanted to start up some servers there :p (would be pretty fast ones at that!)
Liking the data provided in the main post
