So, what are you guys or what did you get for Christmas?

I think I'm looking at some musical instrument or some RSGP ;)

Umm… a free day for me, good opportunity to move stuff to the new house/office. Most of this city will be shut down on the 25th; ironic considering it's a Islamic country.

Nothing, it's way too expensive to pay for my college applications anyway :(

Necessary not: 99% of the population is Muslim here, we celebrate something "like" Christmas at Dec 31st, we have Christmas trees around and all that to celebrate the New Year.

presents on Christmas is something happening mostly in the US. We don't have a Santa Claus here, so no presents ^^

Yeah same here, but from what I've heard from locals it's more like a 80-90% Islamic population here. There's also some places that have Christmas trees put up here but they're wrongly set up and decorated.

On a side note, it's very common for certain mosques here to bomb churches on Christmas simply because they're expected to have many people at that time. I can't make an assumption for the rest of the world, but here these people give Islam a terrible, terrible name… Because of this some churches are forced to celebrate days before the 25th and hope there's even still a church remaining after the holidays.

Wow, can't imagine living in a country where religion plays such a big role. There is almost no religious violence here afaik.

I saved up enough cash to purchase a iPhone 5 :D. Well, my parents gave me $200 for receiving a academic award, but I paid for the majority of it.
Buttt, I forgot to order the sim card in time, so its stuck on the activation screen :/

Apart from that, family and I went for a picnic, and a bushwalk.
