Um, well…Yea. My account was hacked once again. This time, I lost 34M.

I have decided to move on from RS I guess. I decided I will not play, script or bot on/for it anymore. So I deleted anything and everything related to it.

They got into my RS account and my Gmail account. I realized this is too risky now as one of the Gmail accounts controls my YouTube money.

Because of this, I probably will not be active here anymore (no more 100% activity.)

I might occasionally stop by to say hello, or do non-RS related stuff, or even read R4ndom's blog, but that is it.

Basically, not willing to go through this again. Gotto focus on college stuff anyway. Sorry to all for bothering you if I have. Etc etc.

*I still use skype for those who like chatting.
**Could someone take over my script? Not much to it, made it as simple as possible.

I'm really sorry to hear about you getting hacked buddy. Do you have any idea who it might have been or how they hacked you? If you're discouraged from playing RS that's quite fine; many here share the same opinions. :p But that doesn't mean you have to leave the SRL group ya know. You're always welcome among us here friend. :)

Ah Rez, if you feel quitting is the way forward then I feel you.
Although I think its time you stepped up your security on your pc, download Microsoft security essentials and malwarebytes and completely scan your pc.

Shoot me a pm and I can hook you up with some scape related stuff.

I'm sure you could make 34M back or buy it back easily. $20 isn't worth it to make you quit something you enjoy. :) Goodluck in college anyhow.

I will probably stay here, as I am not done being a programmer, but am totally done with RS. Don't be surprised if I only come once in 2 months. Maybe just on this thread or to read and comment on R4ndom's blogs (though mostly read).

Now here is the funny thing. I am 100% sure that it is not from something I downloaded, as I didn't download anything even slightly RS related since the last hack. Ran 3 anti-viruses, all clean. Totally pooped.

Right now I feel like its going to keep happening, so might as well stop the cycle. (Have Microsoft essentials and malwarebytes)

Ridiculous number of anti-viruses. And I don't think changing one of the Gmails would really help. Its a password issue.

As for the reformat, I just don't know anymore. Can't tell how or if it would help. My computer, apparently, is very secure…Thank you AVG and MalewareBytes…Ofc it is…

I agree. Before, I realized, I was addicted to it. Now I can fully concentrate on my academic life, my entertainment, YouTube, My Social life and much more.

What is the frequency do you clean up you pc and install operating system again? Since if the virus already get into your system, things like anti-virus or defender won't help much.
I personally format the disk and reinstall all the stuff twice a year.

He already said that he made up his mind and its not about the runescape money. Why do you have to be a people-pusher and encourage him to go back to wasting his life with runescape?
He's in college and has a whole life ahead of him. He shouldn't waste it like that by playing runescape so it's a good thing he was able to make that choice for himself now. This is definitely a good point to fight that addiction. He will always be an addict, but as long as he doesn't go back to playing it won't affect his life like it used to.
Tempting someone like this is not a nice thing. Why can't you just agree with what he says and RESPECT his decision?

Although I dont think it was that much, you can always rebuild it man, there is always a way, if there is a will.
But good on you for putting college first. If you truly want to push rs back and focus on your life ahead, we here will still be happy for the change you did, and wish you the best success for you.

Sorry about the hack crap man. I know it must be rough and a huge piss off after multiple times. Hopefully you can sort that out.

It's a shame you'll be less active here man :(. Make sure you pop in from time to time or go on skype occasionally so we can talk and stuff, It would suck if you just dropped off the internet like footy did. I'm sure there are others on here that don't play anymore too, so yeah. I wish you the best of luck with university and the rest, and don't forget to visit us sometimes :).

Why don't you set JAG? Go on a different computer to set JAG such as a school one. Register your own computer, noone will ever know. Only downside is that you have to disable it if someone wants to go on your account.

Sad to see someone go, but real life comes first and if you thinks it's best then so be it.
