These packages weren't mentioned anywhere on the front page or forums, so here it is.

Be damned Jagex! For an avid Runescape gamer, the gold membership is quite the deal, it frustrates me that they employ these marketing tactics.

I think it is. I remember some of the emotes or cosmetics I bought were for like 30-50? So 2k is bound to be a lot.

I'm guessing only PayPal or Credit Card? Or is there is PayByCash option?

2000 runecoins costs $50, if you bought the coins seperately.
2000 can buy one achievement banner that announces your skills, and 2 bank boosters, giving 100 more bank spaces.

Well, I see nothing wrong in the package they offer, since such online game most income rely on the long term customer. Giving some nice untradable stuff to them is a way to thanks for them to support the game.

Yeah I get that it's like that automatically.. Lol But if 2000 runecoins is really 50$ and the whole package for 12 months, 2000 coins and all the outfits really is 74.95 then you're getting a year for 24.95 with the other stuff extra… It just sounds like extra stuff that some people can buy if they want. Micro transactions is the way a lot of good games make money! (As long as they don't give the option to buy like an Ultimate sword that kills anything in one hit then I'm not too against it.)

I'd call my bank up and get it force-refunded as I didn't receive the 'item' :D

It does work out cheaper to do 12 months…but we all bot so rather not have the risk of wasting 30/40 quid (IF) an account gets banned so 1 month rolling membership is always the best for me :)

this deal thing rly makes it seem like jagex is trying to grab alot of money before they close though. like the usual scammer behaviour

You'd probably actually be saving money if you'd be playing a year from now if you bought the gold package. It's like $6.30 a month for mems with the package plus you get all that other stuff with it (Like $150+ worth). This is actually a good deal, I just don't feel like paying 75 bucks right now.

Yeah, I pay $5 a month right now. I signed up for mems like 2 months after they shot up the price from $4 lol. I was mad :p

Gold package is soo tempting, but once again, I get my membership for $5 a month.

The only thing that interests me is this access to the betas and the Paladin armor. Is the P. armor just cosmetic?
