SRL Archive - RS3 Outdated / Broken Scripts

April 30th, fixed some minor bugs things in the script.

Well, here it is everyone! Finally, I think I have made this good enough to post and it will hopefully work well for you :D


instructions: Start at draynor bank any bank booth. Money and cage/harpoon in first and second inventory slot. Make sure you have enough money in your inventory to do as many trips as you plan on doing, or else it will switch players not going back to the one that ran out of cash.



Post proggies and bugs/enhancements/problems please! :D

Known bugs:
none, please help me to fill this up :D

Future updates:

Possibly add forms.

detects when you aren't fishing.

Whirlpool handling.

Count how many tuna/sword fish and lobbies you have fished and put that in
the proggy

Oh shoot, I forgot instructions :D Thanks for saying that. As for the RandomRClick thing.. Did you download the new SRL 3.7? That could have caused it.. I tested on SRL 3.6.

Edit:: just read it, looks o so fancy havent tested still have that random problem with srl i might remove the problem anitbans and replace just to get a little sample of the power you have made.

Looks nice :). Walking could use some extra failsafes, I think? And I think you love AutoColorThis :p.

started it .. and watched it walk to the docks (walked great) went to karamja then i thought it was going to get stuck on the boat..but it got off fine, then it walked to the fishing spot but when it tried to fish it froze idk why, but your walking is freaking fantabuylous

GREAT!!! I thought it was only working flawlessly for me :p I ran it before I put fishing in to walk to the fishing docks on karamja from the bank, and back 10 times and it did it without getting lost once.

@Nielsie (Sorry if I spelled your name wrong lol), I was thinking of putting some more failsafes in once I got some ideas :p And competition? What you mean? Are you making one too??

Let's take your GetToDock as example:

Things like that. If it doesn't get to it one time, it can screw up your whole script.
Because the script doesn't know you aren't on Karamja. It will start fishing, and because there aren't any failsafes in there either: it wont fish any fish. So… that would screw up the script I think?

But the script further looks great! :)

Actually, sorry to correct you sir, but if it doesn't find the quest symbol, it doesn't matter. Because once it thinks its looking for the people who take you on the ship (Pay fare), it switches players leaving that ones activity to false if it doesn't find them.

Same for on kamarja, if it doesn't find the fishing symbol, it will go to the next player, leaving the one its switching off of to false (Lost) so it can go to a non lost player.

I got to say, it feels great once you get to the point of scripting that people can actually use your scripts :D

hmm.. very strange. I've never had that. Works fine for me and a few other people. Anybody know what his problem maybe? If you downloaded SRL 3.7, that may have done it IDK.. I only have 3.6 right now. Waiting for the 4.0 on scar divi to download :p

And does it click the quest symbol or not? I have a pretty long loop of repeating waiting about a second, then searching for the quest symbol to let people get off it if they were on it. Soo.. if it just stood there before clicking it and said the script was still running, then it was still looking for the quest symbol ;)

@People getting errors, you shouldn't be getting any errors. Try re downloading SRL 3.6, and it may work with 3.7.

1. Need login if not loged in…
2. Back up walking or finds location
3. Add start from Island
4. Couldn't find the plank to get off the ship…
5. Add turn on run to get to the island faster :)
6. Instructions (had to read script to see where to start w/ chars)

I didn't get it to the fish and I didn't want to walk all the way back and spend 60gp for nothing…

Just needs a little more touch ups :D

What version SRL are u using?U should use SRL 360b version..if SRL 370..removes ur RandomChatEvery..:D

it got stuck twice near the pigs and logged out :\

i tested this a while ago and i got to karamja but thats when things went out of hand. the script, for some reason, just keeps following the karamja path instead of going to the fishing pier at karmaja. a lot of my characters were stuck or got "lost" at the far edge of the karamja path near the general store.

Hmm.. thanks guys! This will help me out a lot when I re-do this whole script (Have been very busy).

Edit2: even though i am a big scar noob, I think i know why it gets stuck at quest symbol and behind the hut on karjama.. the quest one is that it doesn't go all the way to the seaman.. then i walked to them and it continued.. then it went behind hut then it froze.. i walked to fishing spot and it clicked on fishing symbol then i got a runtime error on scar 2.03 and srl 3.60b:

2 things to say:

You could have just easily said get scar 2.03 and SRL 3.6 and if you actually READ my post it says that i took the line out. And if you felt like being even the tiniest bit polite towards me and this being my first time on the site, you could have told me where i could find Scar 2.03 and SLR 3.6

Everybody, if this script is going to work again, I'm going to have to completely re-do the walking I think. Thanks for posting, I may decide to re-do it.

A lot of people get that error.. I didn't download SRL 3.7 because I'm just waiting for the 4.0 to come out for SCAR Divi. I use, and a lot of people still do, scar 2.03 with SRL 3.6. Maybe that's causing the problem.. IDK.

JAD .. ty for the response hun :) Perhaps I need to just try SRL 3.6. I have been experimenting back and forth between Divi etc .. have found that 2.03 is the most stable (just like everyone says), but I didn't realize there may be issues between the versions of SRL. Lemme try that when I get home and see what happens :)

3: This script 100% compiles. If it doesn't, its on your end not mine. Try re-installing SRL, or reading the above problems and responses and see if that helps..

Maybe use SRL 3.6 with SCAR 2.03? Or if you already are, try re-downloading SRL again.. Nobody else got that error I don't think, or at least I didn't :p

thx dude sorry for double posting but um i got scar 2.3 and srl 3.7 so what do i do?

i had a few problems getting it to compile on divi 3.06, (finally got it straight), but had major problems walking, it got to the docks, and clicked on the transport icon for entrana, (so i helped it a bit), got to karamja, got a little stuck going to fishing spot,(worked it's own way out) fished a full inv of lobbys, then cpu went to 100 percent, and the mouse went all retarded(went to the side of the screen about two inches up in black and jumped up and down)(had to unplug comp and restart(taskmanager wouldn't even work) sorry about the book, but you wanted proggys right?, overall script looks great just needs a little tweaking, thank you for posting it.:):):)


EDIT: also maybe make it check to make sure it has fishing eqipment before making trip to karamja, (I forgot to put in inventory, had to stop script and go back and do so.)

You get it for the same reason stated about 5 posts up on this same page.

BTW .. Jad - dunno if this will help or not, but perhaps you could add to your first post for people to use this script with 2.03 and 3.6? It may help. Another thing that might help is to consolidate all these errors into the first post since they can all be answered in one way :p

That would be because this script was made for scar 2.03 and srl 3.6! :p

Jad, i tested this out.

The walking is very nice. Sweet stuff
But the fishing apparently isn't that good. Got stuck there.

Anyway, I will get you a proggy soon.

P/s: JAD, if you are remaking this, make it in Scar 2.03 and SRL 3.6. (I find it more stable wit less complication. Thats just my opinion.)

lol dont worry this is one of the most common errors with all scripts. it just means you need to download scar 2.03 with SRL 3.6 :D

:duh: I forgot to try this one again. I have been sticking with Wiz's Draynor Netter since it seems to be the most reliable fishing script for non-members.

Is no one posting proggys because they aren't having any luck with it??

Once I finish my script which should be done in a day or 2, I promise I'll re-do this ok? Sorry it died.. I was using AutoColorThis and the bitmaps have to be changed every once in a while to because rs changes of course.

And I could fix the walking pretty fast.. But my fishing function still pretty much sucks ;) IDK, I'm just not very good with fishers, I just love walking :)

Actually, you are the one at fault right now. If you would have read the last posts, this script needs to be updated. So if this script is so horrible, maybe you should update it yourself? That'd do the trick. I have not re done it yet, and this is not a horrible script, it's a very hard script to make and that's why nobody has had one successful yet, but I think mine is the first attempt that succeeded..

Please read before you call a script horrible, and please don't call a script horrible if you couldn't do even close to as good.

My parents never let me stay on the computer too long… :( I still get my time in though, but it's usually spent updating/writing tutorials, helping others, learning the script better and chatting :)

I'll be looking forward to the update/re-do lol. Problem that i get is that it walks to outside the bar(Place that sells beer or something.)and the debug pic appears and it stops. Sometimes it can get to karamja then it'll go behind the banana house. Errm, I have no idea about the fishing since it has never made it there before. Scar 2.03, SRL 3.6. (Lol, SRL forums sure do need more fishing scripts.)

It is not SRL Forums that does fishing spots..

It is the hard working scripters like JAD that make things like this possible..

@pumaz, you are using SRL 3.7 when you need to be using SRL 3.6..

and the reason this script doesn't work is because I didn't update it. If I put 2 hours of work into this I could easily fix the walking.. But I've been busy with a different script. So after I'm done with my other script, I will update the walking and then make the fishing much more complicated.

Yeah the script works great but it just stops, or repeats it self at unusual places such as the other take off place, like infront of the beer shop where the monks are not at the quest point. And then the second time i tried it it walked to the place where it is "suppose" to take off but apparently it just walked back to those monks or sumthing. And then i retried it, it worked until it reached on the boat then it didnt walk off the plank thing. the character just stood there and then started to wander around the ship. Other than that awesome job on da script ^_^

It chops everything at varrock; Regular trees, oak trees, willows and yews. It can also do the highest thing possible so if you started out chopping regular trees, and you got to 15 wc, it will go to oaks, then willows at 30….etc. if you choose to use that auto pick highest tree option :) I have everything perfected (Well, good enough to do 3 loads straight at least until I stopped it :p) except the yews, which I'm almost done with.

And @ the 2 people with the error, unless you can't read, you would have seen that other people posted those problems a lot, and I gave them the same answer that you are using the wrong SRL. 3.6 is what this was made for.

For the new one: - it's great script but after coming so close to the fishing dock the Login.scar - Line 391 - gives a runetime error (out of range). And the player stops.

? I don't get it.. That's not your script. And you said how do you pick the road color? Which road color? FindRoadColor would find the road color near draynor bank…etc. and FindDirtRoadColor sometimes works for the dirt roads.

and it get to first quest symbol then it clicks over by willows by farming spot then it doubles back to the the dungen in draynor??
then mouse gets stuck at bottom of screen and i can't do anything buut exit scar and start all over.
then i tested it again and it took me all the way to fally and mouse again got stuck at bottom of screen? so im not sure what the deal with it is?

Your acting so confused like "Why isn't one of the most hardest walking scripts ever not walking perfectly???"….. Maybe if you cared to read you would have found that I haven't updated this because I am working on another script, and will be updating this in a few days..

nice job, havent goten a chance to try it out yet ( getting my fishin up lol ). The only sugestion i got when i was reading ur script is that you should add something so that it can type in bank pins.

You should make it anti-leech like Pentti did to his MCMB 0.4 (ask him for the download link)
It verifies your SRL Usrename with a server so that you can't run if the script owner doesn't say so (adding your name to a database)

OK everyone, I released by VarrockLumberjack script =) I'm going to be working on that/adding things to it/fixing bugs for a few days and then I might (75% sure I will) come back to this script and fix it up and add all that I've learned since this =) I will have a MUCH better fishing procedure to because I've gotten a bit more advanced since then ;)

it has been anserwed about 8 million times….

ive tryed this script so many times and it dont work im using the correct SRL and Scar all set it correctly all it does is go to the end of the water waits abit then goes to the fountain and does nothing

I've tested this script about 4 times now. At first time walking was flawless but when my char was at the fishing spot all it did was turn around angle. Somehow it did find fishing spots or something. Next 3 tries i did weren't as good as the 1st one. My char got stuck behind that banana house or in ship or at the ducks in Port Sarim. If anyone has a clue whats wrong pls let me know. Thx!

no, search here: http://www.srl-forums.com/forum/fishing-f188.html dont expect other people to look for you. btw it is very hard to make a script that walks to and from karajarma successfully. so do not expect to see a script in the near future, unless someone updates this one. maybe try update it yourself? there are many many tutorials on scar

DO you see JAD responsing? i think not, that means there is no need to post here and hes not updating it, it's outdated, and same as dead, same dead that this thread should be, only thing you can do is wait for update.

btw there is karamja fisher for srl "fishy for srl4" by munk…
