Why? Because I understand sometimes you need to rant and don't want it to be public. Ranting normally involves cussing which is why I said to make it like a members exclusive Pit.

Make a members+ subsection of the BBQ Pit. Then technically it is inside the BBQ Pit so no rules have to be modified.

I see nothing wrong with this.
Some what off topic here, but I also wouldn't mind seeing some sort of favicon type of deal for different 'rank levels' of threads. For example, public threads have a green "public" sign next to the thread name, then members section threads have another identifier and so on.
I only suggest this because we have multiple forums with the same name, though different sections which is sometimes a hassle/confusing. I'm not sure if vB already offers something like this or not, just a thought.

Like the Black Market being in the Members section? :p We really need to move that somewhere else.
I'll Probably name it Differently and make it a hidden sub-section of the BBQ pit.
Maybe "Member's BBQ Pit"
We'd have to get more feedback/discuss the Black market one moving. I don't really foresee that one happening soon.

I think we should just keep it in the member's section, as it may create confusion and accidental topics being created in the BBQ Pit (all to see) that aren't meant to be there. Also, it may create an environment where ranting is more common, and if a person that has been criticised becomes an SRL member in the future, then it may not be too welcoming for them.
So I added a poll to the thread as we have some mixed thought's I can understand both Ideas and the Pro's and con's of each. Personally I think it's better in the Member's Forum. So that's what I'll vote for.

That's the risk they have to take. If they act up and cause problems, they should be allowed to see how those actions affected people.

Leaning towards no since it could be a gateway to a senior rant, a mod rant and even an admin rant section. Dont want any of those.
I voted technically no, but will reconsider if you come up with a creative alliterative name. Shouldn't be too difficult :)
Meh senior's rant in the discussion and Debates section So I think that's covered :p
