How to prevent SMART from popping up?

When running a script with SMART, the SMART window keeps popping up from time to time. Even though I have minimized it.

just let it go to the background behind your current windows?

i know some applications that access color like smart does, will not work correctly if actually minimized to the tray, windows has really bad minimization handling,

i cant see a reason to actually minimize, just let it goto the back of any windows, or open a blank notepad and fullscreen that, or drag it 99% offscreen on desktop and leave it

It pops up regardless of it being minimized or just "left behind". It's only annoying because SMART window becomes active, therefore my current window no longer reacts to my keyboard inputs. Especially when playing LoL or WoW.

very weird, i havent experienced this problem, far to wide of a scope to attempt a troubleshoot, but if its that big of a deal, look into running a Virtual Machine and use that (recommend VMware because of its graphics card access ability)

if you used a VM you would be able to do whatever you like without these issues and lots more!, does require you to have a decent amount of RAM / cpu power though,

maybe someone else has had this issue before and can help, sorry i cant be of more help, goodluck fixing this

Edit - does it even do it when your playing LoL or WoW in full screen ?

Are you running version 7.2 or 8.0?

I have the same problem with LoL.

Solution:

Open LoL First, then go to processes, make LoL Highest priority :)

Thanks for you advice, VM is too much of a hassle though. Oh, I always run Fullscreen(Windowed) whenever possible. Or just windowed, fullscreen is just bad imo.

I don't know, I thought the latest version always came with the compiler, either Scar or Simba. I guess not :p

Yes! Thanks :D

Still curious about the 7.2 or 8.0 thing. I want to know what is causing this. What version are you running?

for me this issue has always been caused by the java version.

Yep its all about the java version you using. Try java 6.33 or 6.35. (32bit version)

I guess its time to focus on developing for only Java 7, Java 6 will stop development on February 2013

"After further consultation and consideration, the Oracle JDK 6 End of Public Updates will be extended through February 2013. This means that the last publicly available release of Oracle JDK 6 is to be released in February 2013,"

So in other words SMART needs a fixing for this issue(the topic on this thread) on Java 7

smart does this due to every time it clicks in the program, it brings the process to the front i think

Maybe you should try using the Mini-Tray application. It works by grouping all your Smart client and put them all into one icon that hides itself at the lower right bottom of your screen.

Solution for this?
Does Java version 6 fix it, and 7 cause it? Anyone know?

I'm running java 7 on win XP. The client doesn't pop in front of other windows but the smart window on the taskbar flashes orange.

If it's minimized it's just fine, but if it's unminimized but behind other windows, it pops up on top of them each time the script clicks or something like that.
