Honestly, theres No need to join a clan when you can flip your self, its pretty simple :)
Just use the GE database on the homepage to figure out what to flip

The best is to check high valued items in nex and ss and try to buy a few mils cheaper in street. Made a few hundreds of mils in the last week like this.

You can also try to take a long term investment. Since we are all familiar with bots, we know there are lots of thing that can be create by bots. However, we can assume that all the bot user will want to max out the profit per hour.

For some example, if a bot user has bought a GoP script, and after running a few days, he decide to cash in all the token. There are only two reasonable choice, one is exchanging for water talisman, the other one is pure essence. So the value of on pure essence should be 1/50 of the water talisman. Therefor,if the market price of pure essence fail below 1/50 of the water talisman, you can try to make a long term investment and wait for the price to rise up.

Well, that really is the thing that I can't understand. From the proggys I have seen on powerbot, the maximum essences that can been mined per hour is 1057. You will find out the profit of mining pure essence is ridiculous small compare to the other money making way in P2p, even the dragon hide tanner make MUCH MORE MONEY, and it require nothing.
At least I don't think the people that run bots farm will choose to bot essence. Also, the GOP bot get 1700 tokens per hour on average, while in free world.

Should always stick with what you bought and never trade it for stuff like that.

^^ this, dont trade for random items that are shown to be worth alot, unless your 100% sure that there is a market demand for the item

Well, since the EOC make all the single hand weapon with the same level requirement has the same power……..Maybe once the price of corrupt dagger raise it price to 2.4m, you will be able to sell your battle axe.:stirthepot:

I fail at merching too lol. Is the market stable enough for newbie merchers like me to try their luck?

The market is always stable enough, just pick items that just don't waver ex: firemaking logs.

Just don't do what I did and pick an item rising because of EOC

I bought 8k sapphire rings at 650, they're at ~450 now I think. Can't decide whether to sell them now or hold onto them and hope the go up a bit.

The only merching I've done successfully was buying leather gloves and selling after they rose 10gp. They tanked right after too :p

don't trust clans you'll lose a crapload if you aren't a high rank. just flip on your own i've made mils doing it. GE database is your friend trust me.

I loss much more money than you, I stock diamond necklace before the EOC. I bought them at about 5700 each, and sell them for merely 3000 each after the EOC.:duh:

This is very true, I used to be part of a few high level clans (First to become a high ranking member you need to have a high initial capitol; at the time I was doing this it was around 1.5b.. they would require I buy at least 750m worth of the item) Then they told me about a week before the entire clan when to sell, so basically I would sell a week early and the members of the clan would be the ones buying my items at high prices thus resulting in massive profit for me.

Single merch until you know you will not be screwed; I have not clan merched since feb of last year.

Uhh, words of advice.
If you are going to do some "investmental merching" like buying stuff before EoC and selling it after EoC make sure you know what you are doing.

I bought DH and Water talismans afterwards, made quite a bit of profit off those.

I lost profit on blood runes, but not enough to make me lose profit overall.

Another piece of advice, if you know a good item don't tell anyone (It will only hurt you, yes selfish but if you could find an item other people can too..)

Last piece of advice, don't hold on too long and always have more than one account to merch with (I don't even merch with my main anymore, I put certain amounts of GP on multiple accounts that just sit at the GE) (I like to travel with my mine :p)
