The title says it all :) :
What is your favourite IDE?
What is your least favourite?
Why?
Which OS?
Which programming language?
etc…
This is an open discussion about IDE pros/cons and personal favourites!
I'll start off by saying that I really enjoy working with C/C++ XCode on MacOSX because of the help XCode gives you with your standards i.e. automatic tabbing and errors can easily be seen on-screen on an error message list and on the lines of code themselves.
Overall, very nice, very visual to work with - different parts of code appear in different colours, which again helps to make the code readable.
The visual aspects are adjustable so it easily fits your needs. Maybe a bit hard though to get around at the start due to many different options when looking for something specific…
Oh, and it's free! Only supports Mac though.
I also enjoy NetBeans and Eclipse for C++ since they can be used on any platform and again…for free! :)
OK, can't wait for replies!

Has to be Microsoft's Visual Studio,
Windows OS,
C#,
Perfect indentation management,
Perfect Real-Time DeBugging,
Perfect Libary Referencing,
Quick to compile and launch,
Free for students (yay)
Developed games in C# for PC and windows phone XnA, dont have any complaint about VS as an IDE,
Wish all IDE's were like it, however i believe microsoft "own" any code you write in it or some crap, so if you sell anything, write an compile in something else :)
As for my least fav, havent really thought about it that much, but pretty much any of them that offer 0 error detection and no debugging, like a your are writing HTML in notepad and it just skipss any errors and doesent show you any syntax or expected things like closing parenthesis and such, its really annoying if you write something massive and then have to nit pick through checking why somethings not comming out in the final code,
Thats also really no good if like me, you write in so many different languges and you constantly forget syntax and where ; is needed and the like.
Sorry for rambling on a bit :)

I use Linux, (when not botting), c++, and QtCreator, it offers many features, documentation look up, built in form builder, built in documentation (like actual docs, almost an entire website!).
For a large portion of my programming experience I used a Text Editor with coloring (gedit) and a command line + debugger.

I like Xcode a lot, great for Mac development. Visual Studio is really good also, except that I don't like how it forces some indentations on your code. Sometimes I want it to look a certain way but it will realign it based on it's preconfigured settings.

THIS! Except I use the community edition haha.
For everything else I use Emacs, but that's more of a text editor than an IDE…

Ive mostly only done Java and ive tested netbeans, intelliJ and eclipse.
I think IntelliJ got nothing special to the table but I think Eclipse looks better so im using that atm. Netbeans feels old and dull but has a nice gui building thingy built in :)
What is your favourite IDE? Intellij for code, eclipse for gui's
What is your least favourite? Netbeans
Which OS? Windows/Linux
Which programming language? Java.
If you're not using intellij, you don't know what your missing.

What is your favourite IDE?
- Visual Studio
- Notepad++
- Notepad
What is your least favourite?
- Dream Weaver
Why?
- Because it's the worst IDE I've used yet. It isn't smart in any way, shape, or form. The "code" it produces makes my eyes bleed.
Which OS?
- Windows
Which programming language?
- Oh boy, here we go…
Javascript, CSS, jQuery, HTML 5, Microsoft SQL Server, ASP.Net, XML, .Net Library, SQL, ColdFusion, ActionScript, CSS 3, VB.Net, C#, IIS, T-SQL

Psh, padding stats. You listed CSS and CSS 3 separately, and .Net and jQuery are libraries, not languages all unto themselves :p

Shhhhhhhhh! xD
I know they're libraries, but I've pretty much mastered how to use them efficiently. I've seen so many people gunk up their source when using these libraries and it's horrible. I always end up rewriting it.
CSS and CSS 3 are actually pretty different. Enough so that they _technically_ can be listed seperatley.

What is your favourite IDE?
Codeblocks is my favourite IDE. Visual Studio (2012 only) second. Eclipse third.
What is your least favourite?
Netbeans. Any Visual Studio version below 2012.
Why?
Netbeans is the worst because everything is in menus. To change java versions, you have to go to the Netbeans config and edit the JavaDirectory for Java versions.
Visual Studio below 2012 is the worst because Microsoft decided to push C# and removed a lot of support for other languages.
Which OS?
Windows 8 and Ubuntu 12.04
Which programming language?
Iunno :S
Actual Programming languages (In the various IDE's mentioned above):
C, C#, C++, x86 Assembly, ARM Assembly, Java (Still learning), T-SQL, MS-SQL, Oracle SQL, VB.Net, F# (Still learning).

Guy's stop listing text editors and compilers as IDE…
What is your favourite IDE?
The only IDE's that I use are Ninja-IDE (Python) and Lazarus (FreePascal).
I have used code::blocks for C. Tho I don't use it much…
What is your least favourite?
Haven't found one as I don't use many IDEs.
Why?
I don't need IDEs for most of the stuff I program.
Which OS?
Linux and Windows.
I personally use Gentoo Linux and Windows 8
Which programming language?
Already list above.
Tho I do know C, Pascal (PascalScript, Object), Python, Perl, Tcl (Very little), PHP (My worst idea…)

Anyone who knows what an IDE is knows the difference between the two. However, I don't like using them so I use Notepad++ more than anything. I've written complete .Net Objects in Notepad++ and only used VS to compile them.
That is why I listed the ones I did.

I would agree that learning to use .Net and jQuery could nearly be considered a language. Those are crazy big libraries. But they are still not languages fully ;)
Just because they added new features doesn't make it a different language :p I don't say I know Java 6 and Java 7.

Some jobs it matter what version, to be honest.
