So it's been a while….
No, I'm not back. I've said that I was many times before only to leave after a couple of weeks, I'm not going to let anyone live that illusion again lol.
First and foremost I'd like to say that if anyone is out there partying with anonymous and standing for human rights and free speech on the internet, helping egypt & syria out with their internet blackout issues, hacking into government databases and releasing sketchy documents you're making me proud.
I on the other hand had to cross the chasm to the other side. There is and has always been a very charismatic part of me, and when I left for the first time, or better say, started becoming inactive it was because this part of me was yearning for adventure and life beyond logic. I must say that life beyond logic can be complicated and how in some ways it is like real life is full of spam which you have to go through whether you want to or not. Having lived a big part of my life online I became accustomed to mind-teasing conversations, the discussions of ideas rather than events or people. Real life has a lot more talk about events and people than ideas and I guess that at some level that might have been what brought us here in the first place. In George Carlin's words, "People are so fucking boring".
Don't take that literally. I love my friends, nonetheless one of the big gaps to cross is that of talking about frivolous albeit exciting things to the point where you are actually discussing real issues. With some people you'll do this at ease… with others there just doesn't necessarily seem to be that spark behind their eyes although sometimes one can get surprised. I love those surprises;
On the other hand, and I don't mean to whine, today somebody told me "please switch convo, that's too much thinking for me". Now this girl isn't dumb, but her interests just aren't there.
The gap between mind and soul can be a big one. You can trust me on that.
Anyway I'm generally having a really good time. Rapping, have a few flirts going on, have a no strings attached relationship waiting back at home, and when I'm not out drinking I'm usually at my halls chilling with my peeps, either just good plain old conversation or anything from pool to foosball to ping pong to wii to poker or any card game. There's a couple friends who play chess as well, so we're planning on getting a chessboard and getting high.
What actually drove me back here was that today I was writing a rap song about how I had grown up on the internet. Free speech, no racism, no hate on religion (when the topics don't just purely fall out, but we did have quite a few healthy arguments), no care for looks or wealth, just pure platonic friendships.
It made me happy to realize that I grew up in a really good environment and you guys were all part of it, so much love to you all for that <3<3<3<3<3
I still have my blog, for those who used to read it.
How's everything & everyone over here?
Peace, RM
