This is not a script request! This is an idea that would like some feedback in the theoretical realm.
SIMBA can perform HTTP Requests as well as custom socket creation. This means we can connect to other computers/servers. Therefore, we could possibly write more complex scripts that result in bots that work together to accomplish goals.
Now let's describe this in detail with an example instead of making the entire discussion abstract.
Let's take the upcoming Double exp weekend for things such as Fishing Trawler as a possible example. The Fishing Trawler minigame requires a team of people working together. Some people bail out water from the boat, some patch holes in the boat, and one will repair the boat rigging and I think something else. Any one of those tasks gives obvious visible signs as to what needs to be done and there are no complex puzzles. Any position could probably have a working bot written in under an hour.
But noone wants to only have bailing bots and have the boat sink because the other positions aren't being done and typically bots can't converse with each other to find out what they need to do to select jobs.
Let's add the server side discussion to this situation though. Prior to login, each bot (capable of any position) talks to the server and says it wants to do the Fishing Trawler minigame. The server waits until at least 6 people have added themselves to this queue and then it assigns every bot their position and a world. The bots all then login and go to the same world knowing their positions and off they go. Trawler is done and they can either all go again, or if they are missing a member, the server can assign them a new one as well as switch their positions around to balance the tar expenses (requiring every player always have x amount to be allowed to participate).
This could also translate to other group activities such as the Blast Furnace (with spare members alternating into being able to smelt on something like a half hour-hour basis, with more players meaning more time spent smelting).
All in all I don't think this sounds not only possible, but also not very difficult. Anyone have any contributing thoughts on the matter (or other activities it could apply to)?
