Well, I'm back. Just got off a 2-week ban.

And all I can say is I'm disappointed as shit.

I come to this community, used Simba for a while, and wrote a script that racked up 5000+ downloads.
After that, I leave for a while.

When I come back, I donate $35.
Then I leave for a while, again.

When I come back for the second time, I plan on making a great script (one that even bots such as EpicBot and RSBot don't have).

What do I get? Banned.

And for what?
"Insulting the SRL community", I was banned for.

Don't make me laugh.
Why didn't those others get banned for insulting powerbot? I was simply responding to insults levied upon ME and MY community.

That was pathetic. On powerbot's so-called "immature" forums, I could say what I said (changed so I'd be insulting powerbot of course), a hundred times, a million times, and I wouldn't even get warned.

On SRL, I say it once (in retaliation) and I get a 2-week ban. How mufferducking immature is THAT? Butthurt much?

SRL, check your shit.

Regardless of how unjustly I've been treated, I'm still inclined to stay here and keep producing scripts.

But also expect some EoC-supported scripts soon.

If you have a problem with the admins decision you should take it up with them via pm. Flaming everyone here doesn't help your case man why are you flaming all of us?

One of the reasons that I consider SRL a great community is because of the level of maturity that we generally have here. The reason that people get away with so much immaturity on the powerbot forums is that because immaturity that is expected there, nobody sees it as out of the ordinary. Here, there is a certain level of maturity that we try to maintain. Maybe it seems overly strict here, but for me that's better than powerbot's system. Also, cutting back on the swearing is an easy way to improve.

And you can PM the admins if you want to dispute infractions I think.

I do agree the ban may have been a bit out of league but this thread is pathetic because it seems that you are just trying to take out your anger. Comparing PB forums to SRL forums and trying to apply the same rules or "standards" isn't right.

AAAANNNNNNNNNNDDDDDD this is why you got infracted in the first place..keep it over Pm's with polite words, will get you much farther. I honestly love the mods, they WOULD have been willing to atleast hear your case..

How is that relevant to your ban/infraction?
If you've been around here for a while, you would've seen that we aren't like those on powerbot. It was basically your fault for assuming they are the same type of community, with the same rules, with the same type of users. Was wrong on your part.

Different things offend different people. In some parts of the world, showing your elbows is extremely inappropriate and offensive. Whereas other parts of the world little is left to the imagination and that is perfectly accepted. SRL is not about forcing people to be accepting of something just because you are not offended by it. We hope to make all people feel as welcome as possible. Our swearing rule has always been here, and will continue to be here. You have one section where this does not apply, the BBQ Pit. If you feel the need to post profanities on an internet forum as some form of self therapy and choose ours to do it on, so be it, but contain it to the BBQ Pit.

Yes, the infraction you were given was a little over the top, I will give you that. However, how do you expect us to address it if you do not bring it to any of the staff's attention? I try my best to go above and beyond and read through all of the infraction reports to ensure that they are fair and deserved. But I am human and have an extremely busy life and sometimes things get missed. I have said this time and time again, if you have an issue with an action taken, PM an administrator or jump on IRC or send me an email. There are many ways this could have been addressed.
