so my fiancée runs a cleaning business and yesterday she went to do a move out clean. she had gotten to the place and the guy said there was junk all over and just to bag it and throw it on the balcony and he would worry about it. so she starts putting stuff into bags when she came across a laptop, home theatre system, and a bunch of fishing gear.

the only problem with the laptop is that it doesn't have a charger, it still had some battery life and works, before it died i managed to check a few of the specs. 6 GB ram 500 GB HD 2.1 GH processor. i tried to compare online but i couldnt find any for sale with the exact specs. for a refurbished one with a 2.4gh processor 320gb hd and 4 gb ram was going for 475.00.

the laptop is an acer aspire 5742 series model pew71

nice! The charger can just be replaced with one with the same output and head to put inot the laptop!

Are you trying to sell it? People associate ram with speed, so you can probably get around 475 (used) for it pretty easily, or even more

sorry i should have added it in the post above. it wasnt the owner of the laptop who was there it was the landlord. the guy who was living there (the renter) moved out of province and he had till midnight to get his stuff out and the landlord was trying to convince her to take what she could lol. he wanted her to take a fricken huge bbq by herself into a tiny car. but she did ask if she could take anything that caught her eye and he encouraged it.

Dam i was thinking maybe like 250-300 used but that is way better then i was thinking. im not to sure if im gonna sell it yet, she did ask me if i wanted it for christmas so i might just keep it my desktop is starting to die out on me now too, lol

Yea, doesn't seem like a bad machine, I'd keep it… especially if you can only get like half of what it's worth, might as well use it for a few years
