I was killing waterfiends for charms in the ancient caverns, and then I saw this..

Ah good, they have moved on

Benny

Yes! No more dying from those stupid high-hitting dragons!

Yeah same here, I've been reporting dozens of these Brutal Green Dragon killing bots.

I don't think they are aggressive anymore

Brilliant Move!! So they can keep bot on dragon without losing whips. Life will find a way, so the bot will too.

Maybe,

But… However.. as Jagex say "Powerbot and EpicBot were coming for you with our lawyers" I know thats not a 100% accurate quote but you get my drift, this is one of them 2 bots no doubt. Runescape will take em out again,

Austin

Yeah I saw this as well =/. Well at least the kills take longer for them now.

So if they remove these two… You know what we will have no competition in that field, not saying that we have big right now. but.. all spots will be much "emptier".

At least bones will stay cheap I guess.

I dont think they will get them tbh. Both those founders arent stupid. They would be bouncing their IPs from other computers in other countries and doing much more advanced stuff.

However, they can be outcoded by jagex. Their bot nuke might have failed. But they did actually stop both these groups from being online for a few months. I think it was more than half a year? Eventually Powerbot and EpicBot will catch up to runescape and be back online(ironically on the same day who is copying who) but each Nuke takes them out for a LONG time.

Strange. Mod Mark did not mention Simba. He mentioned only a screensweeper bot. Surely Jagex would know what SIMBA is by now… Then again they also didnt mention the main runescape black market LOL.

With how much easier they're making the game.. I am kinda getting scared about the bot nuke that detects "bot like behavior" instead of actual botting

I think it shows they believe their stuff will work very well

I'm down with this too. It's very like with the overtime bottling people are putting in they are gathering data easily

Yea.. I mean there's no way they take out randoms & make stuff easier to bot.. without having a serious system that they believe in.. because they certainly didn't believe in the first bot nuke even 5% of how much they do this one

Well, given that Jagex truly believes 80% of the entire RS community, rather than 80% of the people who logged in during the beta, enjoy the EoC, I'd say Jagex is serious deluded about bots.

Basically Jagex is either brilliant or idiotic. It makes sense that they would remove randoms to increase collection of botting data, but as we've seen in the past Jagex has made some pretty bad decisions based on what the "players" wanted. LOL

Damn. I was hoping that the bots would return to the wilderness spot. Make some decent money there before eoc

Someone will eventually find a way to kill them

Jake

2012-12-02 02:43:36

I was thinking of ways to kill them, but it seemed impossible.

I tried luring with dragon bones and green dhide to the skeletal brute area.
They all went after it, but once a dragon respawned, they went back to kill it.
Won't work with waterfiends since they aren't agressive, and mithril dragons are upstairs.

Since mithril dragons are upstairs, Im thinking of dropping hides/bones near the stairs to them, and do an emote quickly/pick up the hide and bones so they possibly click the stairs upstairs.

I believe mithril dragons are aggressive, and should kill them.

There's like 12 of these on each world now

i swear i saw one using abilities

Jake

I got a few stuck at the skeletal barbarians. But haven't seen them use abilities yet.
The tagging system is still in place, so which ever bot gets the first hit, is guaranteed to get loot

They probably use momentum, which has a chance of randomly using one of 3 abilities.

maaaybe, but i thought i saw adr going up, which means no momentum… idk really.

There are bots at the green drags at the wildy wearing nothing but a whip and shield. If you try to kill one, they protect item and protect mage then teleport or run away. They seem horribly impractical though. They must consume a lot of food and people try to smite/drain their points a lot so that means they drop their whips occasionally. Its kind of interesting though.

chongc

2012-12-09 19:35:03

too bad whips cost less than invent of dbones now

Fascinate

2012-12-24 01:59:04

I've noticed while botting waterfiends in the caverns that a lot of times the bots will run over all the way to the fairy ring to grab a drop worth like 5k… Most of the times they come in big groups of 4 or 5 bots!

if jagex does a total bot nuke they wont make ish for money, and they know that. because honestly theres more botters than legiters members.

Highly doubt that, but i agree they cant currently afford to lose all the botters membership fees so there not going to go ban happy anytime soon

Also we're getting damn hard to detect ;)

Not really since all bots have patterns that they show over time. The main reason I think is the money part.

Thought I would go into the Wildy to try to get some free whips… bots are using nothing but the magic longbows and mithril arrows. The prayer pots they drop help me stay longer though. They all seem so horribly impractical but if you stuff enough of them in, I guess they bring in a ton of money.
