Sad to see this, but goes to show even the worst can happen to the top players.

Holy crap!!!!! He's been cleaned. Who on earth mange that. That is terrible :( I would quit too.

JAG went down for a couple of hours earlier, could have been then.

Maybe he did, I assume players like that have a pin in use at all times.

But he said "They set JAG on my account too"
So he probably didn't set JAG up or who ever hacked him knew the jag answers and changed it or something. I think its more towards he didnt set JAG up.

damn that sucks =/ I was cleaned once from a guy who was doing a quest job for me.. he cleaned me for less worth than what I was paying him for the quests….. after he completed the quests… so I didn't pay him

Why wouldn't he have JAG activated?? If I was that big of an RS player, I would for sure. I have it myself atm anyways. Sucks though, how much did he have? I'm guessing 15-25B, wouldn't be surprised if he had more though.

PS: Why did he say he got hacked again (twice) in his first post, but then in his next post, he said he got hacked for the first time? Confusing :huh:

Just noticed that. Also agree with you on the JAG thing. Legit players who are going for the hi-scores should always have it on.

Jesus this is harsh. Surly jagex can do something for someone ranked so highly. You would think top ranked players would get targeted by hackers all the time and that they would take all measures to defend their accounts. It's a real shame for the guy though, 8 years of hard work.

I saw this too… I was trying to appeal some accounts and I noticed King duffy's first post sounded like a nooby hacker trying to remove his Jag. Wow there goes another legend..

No, I think you guys are misunderstanding. The top Image was posted on Monday from the hacker. They had his password but couldn't log in because he had JAG on his account. So they posted in the forums and got it removed. Then he logs in on Wednesday to find out he had been cleaned.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks. What's the point of JAG if a hacker can just claim that a hacker set it up?

Umm, couldn't Jagex have just checked the hackers ip/his grammatical errors and seen it wasn't kingduffy? If that's what really happened, then I'm going to rofl quick with the idea that Jagex would be that stupid.

Makes much more sense now.

I was cleaned recently…Though only 110M+, I was pretty sad, it was all my wealth at the time. I feel ya pain braw, I do.

As for it being a shame… moments like these are a great chance for people to quit runescape for good.
By the sounds of it though he probably doesn't know life without runescape. Now THAT is a shame.
I feel sorry for him, but only because he doesn't have the discipline to quit. He's been playing the same game for years and is oblivious to his addiction since so far he hasn't done anything about it.
Runescape is for little boys not grown men. He's in his 20s if not 30s! Come on…

Im sorry, i just lost what ever respect I have for you. You know this is the RuneScape section right? Most if not all of it is pro-RuneScape. And did you say flash game…? Really?
Finally, many of us have been playing for a relatively long time, some as long as him. We all have lives, he probably does too. Don't judge, or you will be judged back.
