~270k players quit/banned/cancelled membership

I was checking a friend on www.runetracker.org
She has fairly low skills, so I was checking out of curiosity.
She hasn't trained a single skill this week, but she gained TONS of ranks..
Only possibilities I see this is a mixture of the following 3:
bots being banned
players have quit
people have cancelled membership

I went up enough theiving ranks to bump me back into the top 1000.

I went up thousands of ranks. Even in highly ranked skills went up 11k hunt spots for 100xp gain

270k seems like a big number… I would wait a bit, school is on right now and Thanksgiving break was over a little while ago, it may just be low activity.

I put 270k because thats the number of ranks my friend went up in attack.
Thats 270,000 players that were removed from the highscores for those 3 reasons.

I dont think thanksgiving or school has anything to do with that money players being removed from the hs.

Isn't it possible a lot of trial accounts got off the charts too?

I thought that F2P players are included on the hi-scores now? Or do they have a separate table?

Wow, I can't wait to check how many ranks I went up. Im in the top 100k players. Brb.
Edit: I went from rank 123k to 82k and ive been doing is smithing and some prayer.

Got ranked up 10k+ in all my stats, even the ones that I didn't get exp on. Jagex must be doing something wrong, or banning people.

Maybe people are quiting because we would've heard about these mass bans.

It could also be goldfarming accounts that have cancelled membership since the owners have lost interest in the game/farming.
