I have a genuine copy of windows 7 64 bit on my pc and I have used it for about 2 years on my pc but I needed to reinstall windows due to a virus so I have reinstalled windows 7 everything is working fine but when I go to activate it I type in my key I got with my disc and it says the product key you have typed cannot be used on this computer. If any of you have any ideas on how to fix this it would help a lot because I bought this windows disc for quiet a lot of money.
Am not sure if this is the right section but I thought I'd put it here.
Also I built the pc if that helps.

I guess you installed Windows 7 from not OEM-media. Meaning, the key you have only works with the copy that came with your computer.

I built my pc and I used the key about two years ago and it worked then.

Well then, since you have genuine copy, you can contact Microsoft's support.
