Something is finally going to be done about flower hosting!

I don't think that's a definite sign of action?

Doesn't seem super definitive to me, say saying he'd like to change it.
But yeah Jagex has made it clear in the past that they are against gambling overall.

In don't get why it's such a big deal?
If people want to gamble and make the hosts rich then let them, seems like everyone is just jelly to me.

The problem is that idiot kids are wasting hours and hours worth of work by giving away their gold, I know it's their fault but it's just.. not in the spirit of the game! Also he did say something else but my friend missed it because Mark was being max spammed.

Ah, I hope something is done, it seems like it's the only way to get rich these days..

1. Against spirit of the game. Hard work = Geepees. Same reason why botting is against the rules.
2. Runescape is targeted toward kids under 18. If Jagex wants to avoid angry parents trying to sue them because they found out their child is gambling online, they would be against gambling.

Oh yeah, huh. But I don't see the point in taking players' GPs. Maybe they're gonna sell gold now ;)

SOLULTION: Even odd. hit an npc. if the last digit hit is odd, the host wins, if its a 0, the host wins, if it is even the gambler wins.

But that's equal odds, hosts don't like them 50% chances

I'm a flower host in DDyce (Will keep that name quiet because they seem to dislike our clan :p) I hate 50-50 chances because then I might as well be gambling not hosting. I honestly just make money off commission (10%) I only call bets of players if they are below a mil, on a long day maybe 2-3m. Why mess with a guaranteed 10%?

The way I see it is that they can never get rid of gambling in runescape. Just like bots.

They got rid of the dice bags, so ddyce made the toy horses into a gamlbing device. They changed that(my favourite thing on the game) to say a different thing instead of what it used to say.. So ddyce came out with flowers. They will take out flowers, so ddyce will find another way to gamble. ;)

They cant fix it. Impossible. :P

Name the other things that can be used to gamble. I bet there are not that many, and Jagex can easily change them in a day.

This, with slightly different rules to favor the host. If odds must be even, then the host will mm two players betting each other.

would have to have some set rules to make the game universal. E.g. only lv 4s on goblins etc

And only one accepted attack level for the hitter.

Take gp's out of the game, stopping the value of a gold piece from going down and will cause less inflation etc

hence the lv 4 cb :P, leveling any attack style would level your cb.

Yeah, wipe all gp from every account. Then make items buyable only through the ge using FriendPoints, a non tradeable token you get given for having meaningful conversation with another player :p

oh and yeah, I didn't see the lv 4 cb bit :redface:
