poison removed but.....

i was killing ankou's lastnight and they still drop weapon poison, tried repoisoning my dagger it didnt work… but i sold on ge for like 110 gp when they go for 80ish
off topic just what would it be used for?:garfield:

I don't think they'll discontinue it, maybe it'll find another use later on, but for now it's just useless.

Poison isn't "removed", it's a temporary effect you can give to your weapons now, instead of a permanent one that changed weapons' names.

Not quite. See this quote from the wiki for example:

Weapon Poison can be applied by using the potion after which your character has a chance to poison an opponent. The poison effect lasts a certain amount of time after which you will need to use another dose of it to start poisoning opponents again.


Weapon poison++ lasts 7 minutes.

And yeah, it does sound quite pointless.
