Just saw this in /r/Runescape

Looks like they balanced out Bandos all right :C
990K for 15 hours worth of combat??

Ill probably never do any serious PvM again after this. My combat stats are all 80+ so i'm set.

Thoughts?

Must be a mistake or they might be factoring for the LP update…

Try dragon lol

I think it was just so that people would still consider Bandos over Barrows, as they'd never have to pay money again if they'd bought Bandos.

Or maybe the money generated by high alch is too much, and jagex want to balance the total amount of gp in the game?

if they wanted to do this then they could put some tax/commission when selling on ge. I would love to see this as it would solve many proplems

Is that just one piece of the whole set? And Honestly, I only use barrows to PK now or for GWD and I make a lot more than the cost, Gano is the way to go(;

why not fix it yourself on your armour stand in your poh? with 99 smithing it only costs 499,950? half the cost with 99 smithing

Or a new money sink skill, I think people would be so annoyed if they started getting taxed. :P

Try repairing it in your house… Should be much more cheaper depending on your smithing level!

Yeah a new money skill would help but if they just did 1% tax we're going to take a hell of alot of cash out the game, It would reduce goldfarming and merchants (which jagex both hate)

My smithing is still in high 70 s :S
I now regret selling my bandos for some barrows gear lol.

If I could afford Torva, i'd just buy bandso for PvM :D
I agree with the chaotics. It's the main reason why I havn't repaired my rapier yet.

I've never had a chaotic in my power, unless questing. How much does it need to be repaired?

Is this permanent? If so, what armor sets are taking the spot that Barrows previously had?

How much did it cost before?

IIRC, it was like 60k for each piece of armour broken.

It costs 200k tokens to buy initially, and it only comes with a 20% charge. When it reaches 0, it becomes broken and giver 0 strength bonus.
To recharge fully, you need 20k tokens and 200k, or 2m to fully recharge it to 100%

So each percent of charge costs 20k

I always use tokens to charge mine.
