Just fired up the script - looks great so far. Attacks rats as soon as they spawn.
Screenshot: http://puu.sh/1qMfi
Only thing I've noticed (so far) is that it spams the progress report repeatedly when not in combat. Haven't looked at the code yet to see why but I'm sure that can be easily remedied.

I'm off to school now, will edit this post when I get back.

EDIT: It also seems to turn the camera (I'm assuming that's an antiban) before it attacks a rat. If it did this after, it would speed up the script by a lot.

Gratz on release!

Since i'm bored now i'll give you some comments :D
You can use Gametab(tab_friends) to switch to friend tab.

In your antiban:

20: MakeCompass('S');
31: MakeCompass('N');
50: MakeCompass('W');
61: MakeCompass('E');
Since it's antiban we should randomize it a bit :p Instead of making it turning to perfect angles of 0, 90, 180, 270, you can just do MakeCompass('rand') for a random angle.

You can join boolean statements like this:

if(FindDTM(WaitFight_Shield, x, y, MSX1, MSY1, MSX2, MSY2))then //if it finds the blue "shield" dtm it resets the time marker
MarkTime(Time);
if(FindDTM(WaitFight_Damage, x, y, MSX1, MSY1, MSX2, MSY2))then //if it finds the red "damage" dtm it resets the time marker
MarkTime(Time);

if FindDTM() or FindDTM() then

What's these? :rolleyes:

MouseItem(2, mouse_left);
MouseItem(3, mouse_left);
MouseItem(4, mouse_left);
MouseItem(6, mouse_left);
MouseItem(5, mouse_left);
MouseItem(1, mouse_left);

For the multiplayer, may not want to do Until(not LoggedIn); because it may be due to six hour log out/dc.
Maybe: not Players[CurrentPlayer].Active

Other than that looks clean, good job!

Yeah, I'll change that when I get home :p

Didn't know that, thanks!

if FindDTM() or FindDTM() then

That is actually WaitFight by putonajonny, I just used it as it was.

What's these? :rolleyes:

MouseItem(2, mouse_left);
MouseItem(3, mouse_left);
MouseItem(4, mouse_left);
MouseItem(6, mouse_left);
MouseItem(5, mouse_left);
MouseItem(1, mouse_left);

That re-equips the armor and weapons after the player dies, but I should probably check if the items are there before clicking :redface:

For the multiplayer, may not want to do Until(not LoggedIn); because it may be due to six hour log out/dc.
Maybe: not Players[CurrentPlayer].Active

Thanks, that explains why my others only worked for 6 house :p

Don't bother bringing food, it won't eat it and you'll drop it when you die. The point of this script was for low levels to be able to fight until they died, and then walk back and continue fighting. That's why there's the found dead part :P And I changed the rotating to be done while it is fighting :)

Keep up the amazing work!

P.S. I used this script at Lumbridge Castle rats, world 38.

I notice that the script doesn't do well at all (~900 xp/hr) when being run at the the rat pen near Varrock, can't figure out why.

Yeah, I only tested it at lumbridge, they could have different colors. Also the deathwalk only works for the lumbridge spot.

Hmm, never had that. Are you using the most updated script? The only think that I can think of is this:

The public chat was set to "off", so after you died the script saw the "oh dear you are dead" message and proceeded to walk to the rats. But when it got there, the message was still in the bottom of the chatbox so it thought it died again. At this point SPS messes up and starts walking, and this continues until you come back to it.

The new version would fix this because it doesn't set public to off, so text from lumby people/spambots flushes out the "you are dead" message.

Or, do a SPS check.
Make a box of SPS points, then if your SPS pos isn't in the box, walk

That a good idea, I'd probably have it teleport to lumbridge if it got lost, then walk again.

I don't believe so. You should version-number your releases (EDIT: scrolled up and saw you did but previously you didn't).

Public chat wasn't off.
I didn't die.

I'm downloading it again from the OP and will try it once more :P I really love the script. It's working wonders for my pure.

Maybe best killing script?
There is few bugs in your script…or in my PC :P –>

It doesn't count kills or deaths, and doesn't walk back when it dies.
It should walk back because there is written: "Returns to the rats if you die, and…"
Anyone else had this problem?

Def lvl 1…

The bugs are probably in the script, I haven't updated it since EOC. I will this week if you want though.

I recommend you update the script, and include the EoC bar with abilities, they completely change how fast you kill something, and how much damage you deal. It really isn't too complex to make, as lots code has been written already.

Use action key (by me): http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93123
Adrenaline bar(by Roflme): http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=92836

I thought I saw a "is action ready" function, but I don't remember where :/

Normal attacking has been outdated I think, every script should use EoC in some way, I'm using it in a Superheater (put superheat in a slot), and it speeds things up, and simplifies everything.

Thanks for all of the information. I'm up to date with the skilling side of EOC, but I've not done much legit combat yet. What F2P abilities would you recommend implementing?

DrChill

2012-12-07 22:05:06

You will have to scale it as the player levels, but Slice is for basic melee and Overpower for when the adrenaline is full, Sever is more high level (ATK 45), and Smash/Havoc for 2h and dual wielding weapons(Smash and Havoc are members only though).

If you're feeling strategical, you can add abilities from the DEF/CON tab, I occasionally use anticipate (-10% damage).

I generally use EoC moves entirely through combat, as most of them do things like 110% damage.

I'll probably only use abilities with low req, just because high levels probably will be fighting stronger monsters. If anyone thinks they'd use it with high levels though, tell me and I'll add in a high level option :)

ClickMouse2(mouse_Right);
WaitOptionMulti(['Att', 'ttac', 'iant', 'Rat'], 600);

I made a few modifications, in the KillRats function.

* ClickMouse2: Changed from false to mouse_Right (makes more sense)
* WaitOption: Changed to WaitOptionMulti, which is more accurate, also made wait time a little longer

I just tested this on an older computer, and made these modifications.

I just thought they were different ways of doing the same thing, does it make a noticeable difference to the speed/accuracy?

Yeah They're I basically the same thing

DrChill

It should make it more accurate. But perhaps not, I've not really compared the two, just assumed Multi text functions were more accurate.

I always use FindObjMulti over FindObj, but that is because I can chose multiple colors or look for multiple uptexts, For example in my bone burier, I set it to look for raw chicken uptext because the chicken is often sitting on top of the bones, so you see the chicken uptext and not the bone uptext. But because in this script the you always want to chose the same option it is fine to only look for one. Also,
WaitOptionMulti(['Att', 'ttac', 'iant', 'Rat'], 600);
Will attack any rats, not just giant ones, and it will also attack anything that has the attack option if it clicks on it, because of the 'Att' and 'ttac'. Which shouldn't be an issue unless there are grey colored monsters nearby that hit in the 1000's :p

If you wanted it to be accurate (as in super picky :p) you'd just use
WaitOption(['Attack Giant Rat'], 600);

but that isn't recommended because text finding is imperfect, so it may ignore actual matches accidentally

DrChill

2012-12-08 20:16:17

Ah, thank you I didn't know that. Fortunately the only other monster around with grey on it is the Guard :)

Oddly enough I've seen a few high levels in full Rune training here.

Pretty sure they're bots, but I don't understand why they'd be training on lvl 10 rats :p

DrChill

Nope just normal attacking, they very well could be using your script, it would not surprise me if they were.

What does surprise me is that they're attacking lvl 10 rats :/

UPDATE:

It appears that it is a color bot, it just got stuck behind a tree.

I didn't have any problem with attacking multiple rats, unless there was lag, then it would click one and click another. The only thing I noticed is that it sometimes had a long wait between attacking rats, perhaps when it couldn't find a rat? Other than that it worked quite well, I kept an eye on it and occasionally ate some food (I have not not tested out dying yet, but i will soon on my lower level bot).
