I personally did energy potions until I could do extremes, then I made 1k of each extreme to make 1k overloads. Haven't made them all and have no clue how close to 99 they'll take me, but I'll probably continue doing energy potions afterwards until 99.

As of right now, strength potion making costs about 3.5 gp per experience point, which is about half the price to do engery potions.
Xp from 81 to 99 is 10,841,613 XP
You would lose 37,945,646 gp, which is not bad at all, and fairly cheap.

Get a scroll of cleansing, saves money on making potions. Obtained from using tokens from dungeoneering to buy the scroll.
It costs 20k tokens. and its abilities are very helpful for herblore.
- A 1 in 8 (12.5%) chance that the player will make a potion twice as fast as usual.
- A 1 in 10 (10%) chance that when adding an ingredient to a vial of water, coconut milk, or unfinished potion, it will not be used up, leaving the player with an extra ingredient. This effect includes juju potions and extreme potions and can potentially save both the herbs and secondaries while making juju potions. This can be extremely advantageous considering Juju herbs must be grown by the player at a limited rate.

EDIT: This reminds me, I should create a guide for herblore. Waiting till after EOC for price stabilization ,if that happens.

Or you can skip potion making and clean herbs of popular potions. You might also lose some cash if you are those people who can't wait for the g.e. To sell.

Go for it, strength potions are going up from where I checked a few days ago.
Those limpwurt roots and tarromin unf potions should sell instantly since bots are constantly dumping them.
They should be going up till and beyond the eoc for a while since potions are getting a huge update for eoc.

Test it out, buy one of each grimy/clean herb and see what price it buys/sells for.

clean herbs. You can profit quite decently if you know what your doing when it comes to grabbing buy/sell prices.

What I would do is do all of the major pots, 2-3k of super attack/str/def/mag/ran
then make them into extremes, that way you can make ovals till 99. They actually have some use…

EDIT: Although not that cheap…
