AVG detects SIMBA BOT as virus?!

So i was using SIMBA BOT first time in 4 months, because I was having a break from runescape. So i started the MSI bot, did the setup, i click run, then AVG pops up saying some file in the SIMBA folder might be virus, now i have uninstalled SIMBA and ran a virus scan with AVG.

Do anyone know if it is a actual virus or it is safe, also if anyone had this problem before?

It's safe. Iirc it calls something when calling smart that alot of virus's use and therefore avg detects it as a virus.

Just so you know, as far as I am aware, MSI is outdated, you'll need to use a specialized script.

McAfee is bloated and worthless. As recommended above, get NOD32. AVG is telling you there is some form of a virus because the new way SMART communicates information is through sockets, and many malicious programs utilize similar methods to send out your personal information. And yes, MSI is now defunct.

AVG isn't that good, get Microsoft Security Essentials and Malware Bytes.

I have AVG and it does give out some false positives. For me its good enough, two years with no viruses.

I see only one solution.

Hide yo kid.
Hide yo wife.
Hide yo Simba's cuz they're infecting everbody out here.

I hate AVG :/ I have never had anything but problems with it, I suggest using NOD32 (ESET) or Kapersky ^_^

It's a false-positive, we believe it's because of the auto-update.
