Okay, this is getting rediculous ! (I hope I wrote it correct)
If people agree with me, something like this should be posted to free forum.

Today I was seeing some apps. 5 first were so bad that they should just change their life. Buy a bike and go out bicycling.
a) Someone with the smallest program in the world. Yes everyone here knows it.

Ya he sure knew a lot about srl.
And as a bonus, he had a semicolon after the begin.
That was something I could have nightmares of.
b) A guy with like 15-25 lines script , mostly made of writelns!
That is not good even for a bad joke! It is waste of time for us!

Ppl come crying " Plz i cant script but im a nice guy "
or another one i saw "I can help members with posting proggys" That is not worth accepting someone as a member! If someone wants to post proggy he shall pm the author or post in the release thread.

What do they think about being SRL member?
Do they appreciate that we code for free that they get sum pixels in a game and propably get cash in ebay with our work?

Something has to be done, things like these has to be made clear for em!

If they want to be accepted they should speak understandable 1337 or english in their app.

We should just make it either that the post must be long (to make sure a long script is in there), or make it so you cant apply without having enough posts or soemthing, idk. It is very annoyign though.

It's pretty much been like this for a long time (At least as long as I've been a member). Nothing can be done to avoid it really, is there? If we had something that made the scar script need to be at least 200 lines or something, they could just put:

as there script, and that would still be a stupid app.

In my eyes, there is no way of avoiding this. And I don't know if I'm the only one thats not bugged by this, but I really don't care. So you get 4 bad apps a day on the week end. We usually don't get a lot over the week days. So really, taking 10 minutes out of your whole week is no big deal really. And if you don't like it, you could stop looking at apps right? Leave it to the people that don't really mind.

And as for making a post count rule, its not that hard to go around and say nice script/nice tutorial to a few people.

what if we posted an example script of what would get accepted? Tell everyone, if you don't know what any of these features mean and can't use them in your own script, then don't bother applying.

Theres no way to avoid stupid people. And stupid people dont read stickies. This leads to stupid apps by stupid people who dont read stickies.

meh, you can't stop the noobs that apply with just a few posts and no script. But i've seen a fair amount of apps by people with 100+ posts that still don't qualify. If we at least showed those people an example of the quality we are looking for, hopefully those people wouldn't apply until they were ready.

I know there's a vBulletin mod somewhere that forces people to read the terms of service (or at least stare at it for 60 seconds). Maybe we could do this and edit it a little bit for some certain stickies, pertaining to leeching, zero-replies, etc?

I'm not sure if it could work with specific forums though…

I think there should be an 'award' that is given to anyone who plagiarizes. I also think there should be a different 'award' for anyone who doesn't post a script.

Dude there isn't really a way around it but maybe if like omgh4xor said we posted a really good script… maybe not a members script but something that showed anti randoms, multiplayer, you know everything that was needed in a good script but it necessarily didn't really do anything just gave examples of what is needed in the script, and maybe * i don't know how we'd do it* but make a prog or something that screens applications and if it finds anthing thats stolen from another script it automatically rejects them. Like it would just search their script for something like 'SpecialsTreeCutting" or something or maybe a procedure / function someone made. We'd half to make a big file for it but i think I would help cut down on retarded applications and also force people to make it 100% theirs.

I was looking at the whole thing about script length in someone post and I would like to point out that not all scripts of value are longer than 200 lines.

Be nicer to the appliants, and post small, informative and most important of all non-flaming answers..

I think we should make a question that your required to answer before you can move on to being able to apply. Something that only someone with basic knowlage of SRL and scar would be able to answer.

LOL, SKY, no one was mean to you, you just took your sweet time answering if you were "affiliated" with Jaghex…..If you would have googled the word and replied with a NO, you would have been accepted the first day :P…. Unless you are referring to my "Mormon comment" ,and I never did get to lecture you on the facts that IMHO …"Good Christians and God fearing people" should not be at "cheating sites" in the first place ……and I say that half heartedly…. err, first i never responded for ever because i couldnt find the the poll… then
boreas helped me out….Second of all after awhile i thought "affiliated" was if you were a member of runescape.. or not.. so i put yes i was a member…
Then after i found out it was if you were jagex staff in anyway.. i put no…
then Ruken or what ever hes name was.. started making fun of me for

How about if they post a noobish app block them from being able to see anything within the scar tabs so they can't leech scripts for a month.

Well dont know… They'd propably download scar again, make new account here and start uber leeching again.
