So I have just read this on the PBot forums…

Free users are now limited to 3 scripts at a time. You can add as many as you like but only the first 3 will show in your bot.

You can still remove and add different scripts as much as you like - as long as you're within 3.

Is it just me or is PBot becoming a little too greedy for its own good? It seems to me like it's becoming a "trial" without buying the VIP Share opinions/thoughts.

You can still bot whatever you like, you just need to stick to within 3 different skills at any particular time. Doesn't really seem like a huge issue to me, not that I use PB.

I am aware of this it just seems a little stupid, I mean granted someone's not going to be botting more than 3 skills at a time but come on, is there any valid reason for restricting people to a set number of scripts apart from encouraging them to spend money on VIP

Because Powerbot already makes thousands upon thousands off adverts and VIP purchases as it is, they have also recently implemented that upon purchasing a script you only actually own it for 3 months before you have to buy it again.

I just think "Paris'" morals are fucked up and he's milking the site for every penny.. Thank god for Wizzup <3

prem scripts don't add to ur limit. This is jsut stupid imo. Good job i'v still got 10 days of attendee even if i barely use powerbot…

RSBot became money orientated after speljohan left, and thats been a huge while.
Grip has just been tightening since.

I know but still… It's stupid, people shouldn't have to pay more than once for a script once they've bought it :/ and when EoC comes out and they all die for months, I can bet you $100 that they will not "pause" the time on scripts while the bot is down so everyone will loose all their scripts, again.

This makes little difference to anything. IMO, you dont even need to have more than 3 scripts at any given time. If you need to, just go to the store and add/remove scripts as you see fit. You don't have to download/install anything extra.

I agree. It's stupid I was just giving a little extra information. They are a profitable business so they are going to keep doing this type of things.

I haven't used powerbot after the mass account hacking. Just can't trust the staff after everything they've done for money.

You know you still can run more than 3 scripts right? Just trick them.
Run your first three bots, then while they are running, go to PB website, scripts, take out the ones you don't need, and put in the ones you do. Your bots still keep on running so…

You are aware that the people who are earning the majority of the profit have no real involvement with the bot, Paris doesn't write the scripts or maintain them but keeps 70% of the profit off each sale, he also gets paid thousands of dollars from adverts and VIP and he hugely under pays his developers.. To the point that working in mcdonalds would earn them about twice the wage they are paid.

1)open up 3+ rsbot windows but don't open tabs till your ready.
2)open up all the tabs in fairly quickly
3)enjoy unlimited tabs.

If they aren't happy, they should stop developing, I honestly don't see the problem here, the three fundamental rights of ownership include the abusus.

^he has a point, every developer, admin, mod here doesn't get a penny they are just happy to do it :P

I remember when powerbot was about learning to script and it was open source and people use to make really good scripts back then.

on another note, ive never used pbot, just epicbot for years,
before i even found simba.

now, we should just learn to make our own scripts..
And share them with the public :D.

Non-VIP can only run 2 bots at a time. It's 1 more than you can run.
It's the non-VIPs who are getting greedy. This update doesn't effect anything. >->

The original idea of RSBot was to be an open sourced and free bot where people aren't making thousands of dollars profit from software they didn't even write or scripts they probably haven't ever looked at. Paris/Ins3 is a greedy bastard, end of.

Yes, script sales were even banned at some point for quite some while as I recall it, all the ones that were paid back then when the policy kicked in got cracked and released to public.

as far as i know all you need to do is spam the new client button.

What? But I don't do that. Just try opening up a normal one, and clicking the new tab button on it. Eveytime you open a new PB by that, use the next one too open another tab.

thats what i meant, but you need to spam the new tab button for it to work. atleast before you did. i'm not sure now as i haven't used powerbot in two months or so.

meh i didn't know limit was broken but when it was my method worked and timer said that so lucky people the limit wouldn't work for but these people were a very little amount.

personally i have master dung, free fighter, and aio agility. havent used them in forever though…

w/e eoc will break all their scripts and pb will be down for a month or two

good thing all f2p skills I can train with simba, except for dung but I don't care about that lol. Only good for getting pking weapons.

Yeah I remember that… They were banned in the time that I was Mod and then just after I got demoted from Admin they brought in a new set of rules and such allowing the sales of them.

I have MasterDung, ShadeCrafter and EdgeSmelter.

I don't actually bot myself so I have none… I joined here out/RSBot out of programming interest :P And I have seen RSBot grow worse and worse over the years.

I have AIO Agility, MasterDung, and MasterChopper.

Guys, this thread is meant to be discussing the changes to Powerbot, not what scripts you have lmao

I'd be surprised if people actually bought VIP because of this though. I never use more than 2 scripts at any one time.

Why even support Powerbot and by their "VIP"…? Why be part of the program that is killing a once perfect game?

i sometimes use like 4-5 because i tend to switch up the skills i bot but thats just me :p i wouldn't buy VIP over that though

Yeah This is why i left powerbot, but probably will still keep using it for its accuracy :P

OnTopic: Personally I feel like Paris is trying to cash out as much as he can before the EoC which is a joke, I actually spoke with him a few months ago regarding the value of Powerbot and he estimated that his Software/Site are worth $2.4m which made me laugh so hard I almost cried!

In all honesty the only reason I have ever used Powerbot in the past is because it does have certain capabilities that SRL doesn't… It kind of frustrates me but it's not currently the end of the world! I am sure if we get deeper into the forums then we will find the better scripts ;)
