procedure vote(input:string);

if input = 'Obama' then

procedure CastVote;

vote('Obama');

end.
Yeah, I'm for Obama.

Anyway, Just my 2 cents.

For all of you wondering where I got this, Bush cheated in his second election in florida. This is an exaggeration on how they did it.

Public vote does count, but only if you lose the electoral and win the public. Atleast, that's what my history teacher told me.

Anyway, Hai, NKN. wat u ben derrin'?

Nope. Public vote does nothing.
You loose electoral, other guy is president.
It's a tie with electoral, congress picks president, senate picks VP

Electoral college is based on popular vote, but it is true whatever they want is what we get even if it is "based on popular vote".

Back in Gore and Bush election, Gore had the popular vote, but Bush won. ;)

Which is why "the people" say he stole the votes..

Popular vote DOES count.. If you don't vote, there will be no electorates.

BUT there is that stupid rule in your constitution where the electoral votes always supersede the the popular vote. Which by the way I think is stupid.

So in the end I guess you could say you better "hope" the electoral votes are the same as the popular votes :l It seems like the electoral college leans towards the second place candidate which is so stupid!

Lucky I don't live there.. I'd never vote in such a stupid system.

I watched a few videos on Romney, he doesn't seem like the type of person I would vote for. xD I surprised it was as close as it was.

Much nicer:
program CastBallot;

procedure Vote(Input: string);
begin
ClearDebug;
case LowerCase(Input) of
'obama', 'romney': WriteLn('Thank you for voting Romney!');
else
WriteLn('Wrong election bro.');
end;
end;

begin
Vote('Obama');
end.

I don't understand why anyone would vote for Obama… Looks at the bills hes signed last year there pretty damn serious, indefinite detention, murdering of americans now allowed on U.S soil, declaring his own wars without constitutional approval as our military general explains to the congress we now take orders from a foreign nation, hes paid off and is going to ruin this country.

As he promised last month his next move is to remove "cheap guns" on his next re-election from every American and follow through with his police state. America is going down the drain and pretty fast not to mention everything he signs is just to slap the middle-class + under putting more people out of jobs and into poverty.

Do your research and stay away from watching the media they just hype you up and put propaganda into your heads.

I'm not saying Romney is the right one to vote for because hes not either a good question is why the hell are the 3 other candidates not even mentioned. Its pretty simple how presidency works in America you just have to not be a DA and do research.

The simple fact, however, is that America is in no state to elect an ''independent" candidate. There are far too many close-minded and (metaphorically speaking) near-sighted individuals for something like that to happen at this point. Slowly more people are starting to see the facts, but I think it will be a couple more elections before America is away from the strict democrat or republican candidates. To put it simple though, without being allowed to debate, the other 'parties' don't stand a chance, and are not taken seriously by the majority of citizens.

As for why anyone would vote for Obama this year; I don't disagree with the facts you've provided, however, Romney is, IMO, a much worse candidate.

Popular vote does not count, only the electoral. Obama won FL, but Romney won the popular vote.

The only thing I know is that Obama won. Here in Canada elections are about as important as cleaning your roof.
I personally think that all the hype about elections is wasted breath, but I also think it's great to see people so passionate about their country.
