Why would we need that if it's a walking script for a specific location?
I doubt you also want it to have walking for every location too :p?

Why not just banking that works for the bank it's made to walk to?

My job was just to take the info from the thread and make a post because BraK is busy with family matters :(

Grading scale is a BraK question.

The script can do whatever you want, just has to walk someone, and include a banking function that will work with all F2P banks. The script does not have to bank at all the banks, but the banking functions need to support it. And it will be verified ;)

As for the banking, I think they're going to see how advanced you can get it. Only needs to be used on 1 bank, but they want advanced methods of finding it, not just TPA the banker. Correct me if I'm wrong?

You are correct.

Still a little lost.
Some banks have dfferent colored bankers, or booths, or only deposit boxes,and some are chests.

Let's say I make a Rimminton miner, closest bank is a deposit box, so the script will work with deposit box. Why have a banking function that works at all bankers, booths, chests etc. when the script/walking etc was made for a deposit box?

^Take above example and replace deposit box with 'purple clothed bankers' too etc.

Just a bit confused why an AIO banking function is required when the scripts we are making are specific for a location (unless someone decides to make walking for every single location!).

Cos' I'm one of the guys you send your script to :P I was only joking, though. :)

I have some questions
1. Are you allowed to enter if you won the last members competition?
2. Is it allowed to make plugins for walking? Making your own sps or something else? Or is this seen as copying sps
3. All banks, is that just the real banks or also bank chests?
4. What if you have the comp cup already? Will you get another cup or just the 15m? Like the srl master cup

Too bad of the SPS requirement as I was working on something that would be pretty nice but it uses SPS :( Might join in with something else, though, if something brilliant pops in my mind.

Okay thanks, the master cup was an example as it I think it's the nearest to SRL Comp Winner Cup? But still a huge difference and I'm nowhere near mastering :bart: I'll see if I have time to compete :)

could i just make a walking & banking function without having to create something for skillign?

Pretty interesting competition idea don't have much time nowadays with the kids and all but ill have a think see what banking methods I can think up will let you know if I'm in.

Count me in. I can only code during weekends but that might be just enough if I get into it. Haven't scripted for simba in a long time and I think it will be fun.

Sorta wondering, do we have to rewrite ANY banking procedure we use?
Like instead of "if BankScreen..", I have to rewrite it to S_BankScreenOpen with a different method?

This sounds weird to me too.

Clarifying on the Banking topic just pretend that Bank.simba doesn't exist.

Just curious as to if you wanted ftp deposit boxes, and GE in the banking locations. Also, why would multi player be a requirement, when it leads to gold mining?

Also if you want it to be multiplayer it can be, but does not have to be.

That's Correct It doesn't have to be multi-player as much as I feel that we should have it. :p Really seeing as multi-player just adds a extra layer to the script not really changing the script itself.

Considering that particular "wheel" can be reinvented in a single line, I don't see a big problem. We're looking or ingenuity and creativity, after all. It's just easier to clarify to all contestants the guidelines if bank.simba is removed from the equation completely.

That part's up to you. Like I said; creativity is a key factor. Just because something can be and has been done a certain way, doesn't mean it needs to, or should be done that way. ;)

We should wait a bit after eoc is released. Im sure a lot of srl functions will break too.

I think the devs will appreciate the help they get from out scripts. If half of the include breaks we'll have to make our own functions :D

I don't have enough time on my hands right now. Count me in but I might not be able to finish a script in time.

Might wanna wait till EOC hits…
Might have to change a few functions.

Are there any known graphical updates once EOC hits? I think jagz is so concerned with getting EOC released that there will not be any graphic updates to go with it, correct? So how would EOC effect walking and banking? Should only effect fighting scripts, no?

Prerequisites:

• Possess sentience.
• Read this post.

Goals:

1. To provide a data structure describing a static collection of color-valued points in a 2-dimensional space, and
2. methods to operate in a useful fashion upon said data structure.
3. To provide a data structure describing a rule-defined or algorithmically defined collection of color-valued points in a 2-dimensional space, and
4. methods to operate in a useful fashion upon said data structure.
5. To provide a method or set of methods to determine the presence of the data structures provided in goals #1 and #3 amongst a set of color-valued points in a 2-dimensional space.
6. To provide a means to determine the distance between two or more such structures, once detected, in the 2-dimensional space in which they were detected.

Requirements:

1. Submission must be received no later than 12:00pm GMT, November 30th.
2. Submission must be accompanied by a suitable number of test cases.
3. Submission must include the algorithmic complexity and proofs thereof for the methods provided in completion of goals #5 and #6, and
4. the algorithmic complexity and proof thereof for the best-case and worst-case of the evaluation of or application of the representation of the data structure provided in completion of goal #3, and
5. the projected algorithmic complexity of the average case of the algorithm analyzed in requirement #4 and proof thereof if applicable.

What's the plan for this competition since EOC is coming? Some updates would affect skilling drastically.

Yes you can still use some pre-made functions.

Also I'm waiting to see What EOC actually affects before I make any calls on the competition.

The competition has been extended through January 5th. This should be plenty enough time to deal with any changes that came with EOC.

I see, Since I don't know TPA's (yet at least) it's good i'm able to use, count me in i will try to do something interesting.. even if i'm not very good at simba :D
EDIT: I know TPA's now, have to learn ATPA's, but i have exams :X and I'm not at the entrants list :?

I'll have to drop out of the competition. The new end date is too close to holidays and such that I won't be actively able to script. Can't wait to see the new scripts released guys! :)
