This poll is to find out various ban rates for different bots/skills/locations
If the same thread exists elsewhere then tell me and I can close the thread.

Please post If you have had accounts banned, what bot they were using when they were banned, what scripts they were running (If banned running Simba), What skills they were botting, and where they were botting that skill.

Feel free to not answer certain information should you feel you shouldn't.

I've never been banned. Been using Simba on multiple accounts for a total of thousands of hours, a lot of those accounts were trial accounts too which supposedly have a higher ban rate. I've used Epicbot's Livid Farm script before (was the only script i used from them), that was the only other bot I've used other than Simba. I don't use Powerbot because I simply don't trust them. Botting is pretty safe though if you use Simba, ban rate and hack rate are pretty low ;)

I was banned using RSBuddy, never SIMBA. I was using a plethora of scripts there. (finally got to use that word! :D)

I was using reflections on RSBots when my account got rolled back pretty bad.

Never banned though. *knocks on wood*

I have never been banned in any accounts. I have used epic bot 24/7 rsbuddy and powerbot too. and now I am more careful so I am stick to simba

I've never been banned, got my 99 defence rollbacked for 24/7 soul wars back on iBot, but kept botting on it and now it's 3 skills off max cape. Got a secound account up to 1700 total atm the minute who used to be my *nub*

Got 3 accounts banned, 2 mining pures in f2p back in rsbuddy days and a decent account I had. Botted in stupid places for the miners to make decent cash and the other guy got banned for losing his membership, going to f2p for not even 5 minutes and being banned while standing in varrock. Idk what the deal was with him.

My main, second account, and f2p pure are all going strong and will stay that way.
Had a few close calls and roll backs on skiller accounts but nothing serious.

I was banned using an auto clicker once…Don't know what category that falls under :p

It seems Jagex notices if you click on the same pixel 50k+ times for 8hrs straight. Oh well!

I've 24/7'd a trial account on wc. Once it got 99, it got banned :(

exactly what I thought when I viewed this thread.
I'v never been banned however I don't bot very much so have never even worried about it.

I got banned for bad language and impersonating a mod.. they did not have any evidence of this, however..

I know why they didn't too, it was because the account that got banned for it, was a bot.. that has NEVER talked before, that was the only account I ever got banned on out of hundreds and I only have ever used simba

I still go to the never been banned for botting category, I've never been caught on any type of botting

botted coal on one of my choobs for 1 day and got a rollback from 30 to 15. then I went and did clay with kbClaybanker and trolled the clay market and then received a ban- WHICH GOT QUASHED!

In my 2 years of botting, I have never been banned. :D *lucky* Inb4 Skiller+Main gets banned

The last time I was banned I was using Aryan to slaughter scorpions in the Dwarf Mines, years and years ago. Before that, the last time I was banned was for walking over water and through fences in RSC.

i had a few accounts banned back on rsbuddy suiciding 24/7 on various things. never been banned since probably 2010 though.

banned in 2006 for asking what account sharing was.

never got banned i have been using powerbot, rsbuddy, epic bot (long time ago) and now simba and sometimes for special bots powerbot

Got banned for using a wc for 6 hours a day on powerbot. Then the bot stuffed up and got stuck in the maze for 6 hours.

Banned 4 years ago for using a yew cutter. Banned 3,5 years ago for using ghost mouse to get 94 magic which I actually achieved, then I got banned for 14 days while I was on holiday :garfield:

Since then I've never been banned :P

Never had a ban or a roll-back, been botting for years now, with a combination of java and colour bots. Always been pretty cautious, though.

My Sister, whom's account I now own got banned for Auto clicking.
But All 5 of my Mains, have never been muted or banned to this day.

I'm almost maxed and I've never been banned using anything, and I've used them all.

Like many others, I've never been banned.

I've never been banned and I bot and play on my only account, my main. I have used pretty much every bot out there well the well known ones. I now only use simba.

Gained around 27m hunter experience from using epic bot's hunter bot and hunting chinchompas. This was back when all pro bots on epic bot were free to use.

only once, back when rocktails were released, I was one of the many banned when they completely broke the rocktail bots

Have never been banned, and only hacked for around 3m once. I can honestly say that I have used every major bot client to date. The exception, though, was when I was determined to get 99 fishing. I was at 91, at the fishing guild fishing sharks, using rsbuddy maybe 20 hours a day 7 days a week. Logged on one morning to start the old routine and found myself in lumby with all stats over 40 nerfed down a single skill level. I just shrugged it off and played legit for a bit before quitting for several months.

Been botting for a year w/ Simba and PB, never banned.

I've been banned for macroing with Scar and trading between my accounts..

I've only received 1 technical macroing ban in my history of botting, and that was very recent and not an actual ban. I was muted by a pmod for spamming with an autotyper, the offense was basically automatically quashed once I put in an appeal. (It was a mute btw, but macroing was the evidence)

Bots on 07 that I've ran simba/wbot/tribot/garyshood/murgee autoswitcher(last one for fast and flexible shop trading when I needed it.)

I got banned on an account that wasn't even botted. Not sure how to vote on this one. =/

Got bannend on powebot with fishing.

I have not been banned yet. I've been using tribot. What seems to have worked for me so far is just not playing 24/7 and sort of babysitting my bot.

How have people got banned from Simba? The only way to detect it is manual bans (which are extremely rare) and also from gathering client information, which is illegal in the UK and falls under the computer misuse act if I'm accurate. Anyway I've ram farms reaching over 200m/day EoC and reached 20m/day 07 when it was around an exchange rate of 1:30 (Sorry I know farming is frowned upon here). But never received any bans, rollbacks, or anything of the sort using Simba, however I have had a few accounts banned recently from testing out Powerbot back in RSBot4 near the end when it became detectable, and not used RSBot5 yet and not planning to. If you're interested it is still 100% ban on PB atm.

I wonder would it make a difference if people used Simba and bot on the web browser, than botting with SMART?

Maybe, it's possible and would make sense as they wouldn't be able to detect the client, if that's what they're doing. But everything I have ever botted was using SMART as I don't have the patience / it uses way more resources to use VMs

I have never gotten caught for any rule breaking. I remember one time I even spammed 'I'm a bot please ban me' over the course of a couple days on my noob, just to see what it would take to get banned, and nothing.

I have never been banned a really slight rollback ones but that was with nexus.
It is really easy for jagex to ban people through SoulWars.

i too have never been ban, i was looked into by staff but they gave me the account back after a little arguing :)

And which option do I choose for playing legit and receiving a ban? Mindlessly clicking on resources for Battle of Lumbridge for literally hours in the same spot. Next time I logged in BAM!!! Temp ban.

Sucks. Was actually playing legit. I've learned my lesson: No more playing legit for me.

It is incredibly easy to detect if people are botting with Simba, though only when those people are using poorly constructed scripts utilising primitive input controls which produce non-human-like characteristics. The same applies for many other bot clients that do not directly (and illegally) interfere with the object code of the Runescape client (i.e. "injection").

Using "Kbot" was my last ban. I did yews for like 60+ hours straight on a noob acc.

I can't remember how long ago it was, but I do remember the name of the bot haha. Like 5-7 years ago maybe?

I have yet to be banned as well, using about 3 accounts of decent level, using exclusively Simba. I have had someone walk up and ask if I was a bot tho, did not get there in enough time to answer and still no ban :)

Most thing I bot for about 4 hrs each, tho I've run superuser's iron thing for ~6 hrs.

Yeah, I guess I overlooked that when I made this post. Not everyone has the time / knowledge to make a script with sufficient failsafes and more human-like methods.

I had a noob account banned once using Rsbuddy. I was mining like there was no tomorrow, then cancelled membership and BAM 2 days later banned. It was like they were happy me botting as long as I was paying. It had a couple of 99s, but I pretty much looted the bank before it went f2p :)

Never had any problems at all with Simba, all my f2p accounts have been safe too :)

Good luck with the phone call. Is the number you have the one off the Jagex website? I doubt the receptionist will direct you to any working Jmods, but you can always try. :p

Banned one for duping

I've never been banned on any of my accounts even when i boted like 50 hr+ on fishing no ban at all.

I switched to powerbot after simba was almost dead at one point in time (2012 or 13 i think) and got a temp ban on rsbot using barbfisher during bot watch july 2013. Just started playing again using simba and i've been having 30 hour+ proggies. no bans.

I had 2 bans botting osrs a few weeks ago using a popular other bot for it, needless to say I don't use that bot anymore :D

I had 20 suicide bots mining in F2P, they all got banned between 60 and 70 mining. This was using RSBuddy back in 2012 though. My main from 2006 still hasn't been banned. :D

I had one account banned, and that was powerbot at rockcrabs on a 1 month old account many years ago. I started a new account and suicide botted 99 fishing using powerbot, and kept going with powerbot, RSBots, RSbuddy, back to powerbot, and now Simba and I'm close to being maxed with no bans over the past 4 years or so.

Never banned, used all kinds of bots, powerbot mainly and the old nexus bot.
Botted a 2.1k total main, a zerker with high stats, pure… I have botted my main 24/7 for about a month with a few hour breaks (Frost dragons). Was pulling 90hr proggies, no problems.
My only account that has been punished was a fresh level 3 skiller that I botted fishing on, botted sharks at fishing guild 12-20 hrs per day and got reset to 10 fishing at 93. That's it. And that was from Powerbot.
I'm fairly careful with my main on 07 now but I still use OSBot, HexBotEE and Simba ;)
My guess is don't use shit scripts, that look very botlike and are unhumanly fast and don't run them too much, I'd say up to 12hrs a day is fairly safe.

When did you bot to 2.1k total? 2011?

Somehow i've never been banned for botting. I botted RC before RS3 for.. 4 solid days. No break no nothing. (This was before the XP nerf in runespan)

I been banned many times but only one time it might have been because of scar/simba. I was testing an unfinished scar script when it happened but it might have been because I used rsbot earlier on that account. And only once I have been unbanned. That was when I appealed on the forums. It was some sort of ban appealing thread made by jagex back then.

I got banned for 2 days, two months of botting with Simba, but immediately (few hours later) after I bought a bond, I got banned.

EDIT: This is my second ban in 7 years.

Nexus! Lol, because their Sorc Garden script had a pretty obvious bug in the fruit mode. 3 days ban and roll back. Eventually got that account to 55M RC xp before I sold it.

Botted 100m RuneCrafting EXP with RSBuddy, and 300m+ exp in various skills on two accounts. Never banned. Didn't play since then until 07 servers.
Botted with Powerbot/RSBot's Air RuneCrafter. (A couple weeks ago.) Banned in under two minutes.

Currently using SRL in F2P to get cash for bonds to play OldSchool.
So far, so good.

Got banned on RSBot, their client is very detectable right now, I wasn't even properly botting, just testing a script that I was developing, and ran it for 10 mins.

I have never been banned, but I figured with trying to determine statistics and such, my stats may be of use?
I botted Red chins from 63-99 hunting. 5-14 hrs a day, every other day usually. On the days I was not botting that long, I would bot 1 hour, then go do slayer, or bot magic. I botted 75-96 magic using stun alching. I haven't been banned yet. I used RSbuddy (back when it was a thing) and powerbot to bot my hunting and magic. I just recently swapped over to villavu (I had no idea it existed till someone said something about it on the powerbot forums). I hope this may help any statistics you may be gathering :)

5 Accounts banned on powerbot. Switched to here no bans yet.

It is safe to bot as long as the script has a good antiban/break system. something that keeps you
off a loop. and also failsafe to prevent your account from going into a infinite loop when it fails
that sh*t gets your account banned :).

Was banned using Simba+SMART while dragon hide tanning. Made 15m+ in 2-3 days. Very obvious bot walking.
First and last time I redeemed a bond. At least it was my secondary account and not my main. My main is still an f2p pure. ^_^

3 bans goldfarming.

1 ban before while fishing at Catherby, fishing lobs of course. Now that I look back, there is a lot of bots there.

I've been banned once for using Tribot. I wouldn't recommend that bot to anyone.

I've had multiple accounts over the years and always banned or perma banned from RSBot

Probably i will be the most pesimistic there as i am irl.

Using simba and smart lost over 40 accounts so far, 80-90% of them running green dragons especially, since other ones seems way way less likely to get you banned. I think jagex monitors them soo widely. At one point got 90 minutes lifespan of a bot, made it only use failsafe once then quit script, because like i noticced and said previously if main method fails and you use your second every other time after trying first one at first its automatic ban within a hour or so. There is no room for any unecessary repeat at all. Now last 2weeks werent botting cause last ban wave hit me so hard lost like 15 account in a week. Remaking script once again now trying to implement something similar to biometrics, because during times i runned prolonged times no account which runned over 6 hours a day had survived. It means jagex gets alot of ammount of data and patterns seems the same. Before that massive ban wave had never been banned without getting stuck in a loop for prolonged times, maybe was too confident jagex couldnt ban people. Was even running ridiculous test runs like do banking routine run to dragons kill one then go bank to see if walking/running is ok haha never got banned of that even if one time it used to make 400 trips (100 glories) in one set. But once got banned worldhopping like 11 hours a day…..Jagex is smart and most of the times he doesnt ban but maybe watches your script behaviour and adds in databaze. Sow when it sees similar patterns for more than 1 account it bans it. Basicly it catches bot before release and when you start botting it hits with bans. Now i dont use those testing methods, just try to do normal runs, and so far atleast test account is ok. It can be explained why after remake bots survive like 3 weeks but when bans starts some will get in 90 minutes of botting time. Literry start fresh bot who never botted before, eat lunch and find its banned…

But if i make them survive long at green ones it means i know how to make nearly perfect scripts for other better moneymaking activities like qbd or frost drags, which i have accounts for but dont wana risk cause of ban wave like had before i can lose them all within week….

IDK if I have already posted here but I have gotten a rollback on a account using powerbot. What was weird was they even rolled back my mouse recorder auto mining I had done 6 months+ before.

If is is true then jagex just confirmed my feeling of being bots detected in developement phase. Also for storing information for prolonged times to compare to other people behaviour at the same situation. So need to take much care in developement not to act weird.


Maybe in the future we will have rsps for testing scripts ?:)

I can remember it been posted on Lilys QBD thread, and she denied any of her accounts getting banned. Also, the grammar is terrible, and even changes from he/she to her not his/her

I recommended that you take your questions regarding the legitimacy of the picture to jake and gave you a link to the original post, have you already exhausted that option? an argument between you and I regarding the validity of the picture would be highly subjective and thus most likely a waste

I do have a lot to say though, a little about what you're saying regarding the picture and a lot regarding the original point (qbd being immune due to players not seeing you bot). If you'd like to discuss this further, I'd be very open to doing so via skype (less effort for me than typing up [refined] posts on here & more timely). Banned on my Ironman.

I botted maybe 12 hours a day at most some times. I last used a guy's oak chopping script, was planning to get construction up. Got 3,000 oak logs, started doing a quest, logged out in the middle, came back from class, instant dc, banned.

The stats on it were almost good enough for it to get to Elf City, so it was a pretty big loss. All those freaking quests I did for nothing lol.

That's the first ban I've heard of for the Ironman mode. With that you could pretty much rule out them monitoring you based on popular gold-farming methods.

The #1 guy for thieving had 90m xp. Now he's not there anymore on the highscores. He was botting too I bet.

Oh well… My ironman account was banned. Since my main was banned I decided to create another account and bot all the way. Was 95 fishing, currently #17 rank on that skill. Rip.

P.s: Permanently banned!!! Again.

Perm banned on my 2nd account after my first main was banned in 2013. I was doing Livid Farm and herblore, both scripts were kinda iffy.

Haven't been banned with Simba YET, got banned with Powerbot and another Java bot like 4-5 times…

IDK if I have already posted here but I have gotten a rollback on a account using powerbot. What was weird was they even rolled back my mouse recorder auto mining I had done 6 months+ before.

Yea I've heard other people also telling that Jagex just reset their acc with all stats to 1 including constitution. They don't seem to take the time to look what stats are botted and only reverse them.

I've only ever been banned with powerbot.

Ban free since 2012

Never been banned on my 80% bottled main, although I didn't bot too long (max 15 hours at a time)

Sadly my main was banned about a year ago (when I didn't play the game), probably due to botting on my other accounts. Never botted on my main or traded botted goods to my main. Tried appealing but I don't have much hope in that. Program used: powerbot

Tons over the years. The first account was from SCAR for sure, I forget what it was…probably yew cutting or something.

After that I branched out and started using java based bots, specifically iBot (later called Nexus) and the Ares revive in nexus etc. Probably 3 accounts banned total, atleast one being a nearly maxed main.

Its always a shitty feeling but somehow you always get drawn back in. I've always thought to myself, it makes so much more damn sense to just macro for only 2 hours a day and after a year have several maxed stats. Safe. Patience is a virtue.

Was banned like a month ago :) only skill left was crafting .. was 98 when was banned :) … altho it was my own foult :) .. i kinda suicided :) had over 100k harmonic dust colleced :p .. Its a good scripting bot !

Once with powerbot on my 2400 total main.

I have a 2580 total main now with Simba, no bans.

I've only been banned with OSBot but I basically suicide botted all the time and I'd do everything. Used to bot 24/7 with my main with iBot those were the good old days!

You really should. It's the safest way. Don't have a pattern in what skill and when, though!

Dont get BANNED.

Try testing your script with a smirf/mule/seperate account, as bug worthy scripts have high ban rates. (Topic)

powerbot RS3 - Had about 10+ accounts banned within 10 minutes. Sometimes, character creation would last longer than the bot.
Epic bot RS3 - Main banned 2400 skill total 3 years ago.
SIMBA - Never, but only started using it 3 days ago.

I used to run a goldfarm, with tribot, never got a single ban. a few weeks ago it got banned, thats why im here. looking for color botz
