This weeks question comes from SANDY which has done serious damages to New York. I want to ask all of you where are you guys located on the map (Country + State), what kind of Natural Disaster is mostly likely to happen in your location, Are you prepared and if you are, how and what do you have? Mention what you have ready in case of an emergency, what your are planning to do, and how your planning to survive for days if you have to leave home.

i got some weed, that should last me a few minutes.

Canada - > Nova Scotia. Hurricane. Flooding is not a problem, 50m above, sea level. Only risk is the wind, a few years back we had a big one, no school for 2 weeks. We just cooked on our barbecue because oc thepower outage. We have enough food for a while, at least a week, but not like an official storm supply.

USA, Colorado

none.

Inland Europe, no hurricanes.
It's quite funny how there isn't anything about Cuba in the news, those guys must have gone through hell.

Possible disaster: "Big Earthquake"
How I'm ready: cash, food, water, glow in the dark condoms, lantern, butterfly knife, bullet proof vest, rock climbing boots, xxx magazines since Internet might be gone and weed.

Well, im normally stationed in San Diego so.. Earthquake putting us into the ocean. I cant really prepare… I know how to swim?

No disasters aside from inactive volcanoes..
However 99% of the year is Rain Rain and more Rain (-.-); however no flooding since I'm well above sea level

I'm in Ontario, we get nothing here… I think the worst natural disaster we've had recently was a small earthquake we felt from Ottawa. In made the glasses in the cupboard shake, but nothing else.

North-west Indiana, Tornados, stay in my basement. :)

I'm in colorado as well. Of course you can't say there is 0% chance of natural disaster, but it is probably less than most places. You can't discount volcanic eruption and earthquakes because there are some geologically active places near here.

I would say that im more worried about being snowed in than anything else.

Isn't Colorado a place of tornadoes?

This picture says some of it is in tornado alley, which I guess means yes.

Unless he lives is the corner of Colorado not marked in yellow.
