I dont know what the deal-eo is but whats with the "i must have high post count" shit i see everywhere,Spam threads ect?

I know they are in the correct subforums ect (prob unlike this) Dare i say put a end to these or lock them to one thread?

If you're referring to the spam and game threads they don't add to your post count afaik

If you're refering to the 1k post celebrations, they're epic.

We do it as a joke/mess around with other people. It's all fun in games. :)

It's just the perspective of individuals. Personally i don't care about post count at all, but neither do i have the right to restrict the freedom of others to pursue whatever they want. It's like the fact that you are an atheist doesn't imply that religious activities should be eradicated, as long as they are carried out in lawful boundaries (analogous to off-topic section).

And yeah, you and I may think that religion is absurd, but many others think that that is the sole meaning to life. Respect their choices.

epeen. But yeah, there is at least 1 subforum that doesn't add to post count. (possibly just NOTA, maybe more since I've been inactive).

I read through an old topic today and found out that your rep is actually based on:

• Reputation divided by 100
• Years on Villavu
• Postcount divided by 1000

So a user with 356 rep, 3 years on Villavu and 5543 postcount will have 3 + 3 + 5 = 11 rep. I'm not sure what is up with postcount, I don't really care about postcount but I try to post a few times a day. Averaging around 3 posts/day -> 1k posts/year on most forums.

You have confused my by this statement. You're making it sound like there are some forums where 3 posts a day will not get you 1000 posts a year. That is simple math and is independent of what forum you are on :p

and, I personally find it "enjoyable" seeing my post count go up but I don't really post "spam" or I may in some people's eyes. It is just a personal thing.

Haha yeah I meant that I average around 1k posts a year on the forums where I post.

Well I think postcounts shouldnt be shown. People would write when they actually have something they feel worthy of saying rather than just posting something that I, myself, just class as spam to up their count. Ones that feel the sting in their hearts now, I mean exactly you.

Never seen any need for having a high count.
