My case (coolermaster stormenforcer) has 2 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports. however my motherboard (ASRock Extreme4) has only 1 USB 3.0 and 3 USB 2.0 headers. i was wondering whether there was anyway i could utilize this 3.0 port as a 2.0, is there any wire that i could use? thanks.

Yes, Usb 3.0 is backwards compatible.

like footy said. You can use 3.0 usb as 2.0 despite it being 3.0, so you dont have to worry about it stuffing up :)
There is no disadvantage in using a 2.0 USB device in a 3.0 port. In fact, it might go faster given that the bandwidth available over 3.0 is much greater than that of 2.0

all usb 2.0 devices work with usb 3.0 ports
all usb 3.0 ports work with usb 2.0 devices
