Should we stop search engines indexing the site?
As many of you many know, search engines like google, trawler around for websites, when it comes across one, it usually requests for the Robots file, which tells it the details of indexing the website.

Is it a good idea for things like google to index it? Surely it would attract more leechers and most likley also allow engines like google to cache the page, if im not mistaken, if jagex finds that this is an infringment, they could use the evidence found through the cached pages, the data "owned " by google.

What are your views on this

Idk, but if I didn't google "runescape simba" in feb I wouldn't be here now.

How is it going to help JaGeX, and against what? We're merely a community which enjoy programming and scripting

well it would direct it to here as they are apart of the HTML tags, but the thing is if you google, say a script name or type, it would also post the entire page up

Edit:@Zyt3x this is mearly a thought, but it is a possiblity as they have the power to view things and use as evidence if an incriminating subject/ post arises

cached data of visited websites? im not sure but think the search results by google are also affected by the sites and links you visit.

If you search up RS Bots, or RuneScape Bots, This site does not come up anywhere. If you, however, type in RuneScape Scripts 2 things happen. First, in related searches, it mentions Simba (Giveaway for most), and second, this website is the second one, after Sythe.

I always delete all my history cached sites get deleted but yeah runescape scripts for me villavu comes first or second
