Turns out when you use lit guilded altar, you only get x2 which is worse than the usual x3.5. I just realized this after I used around a few hundred frosties and I was only getting 360EXP for each bone rather than 630, oh my god this is a fail, do you think they're going to fix it?

Nope, it's been this way in the previous bxp weekends too.

They've stated that very clearly in the RSOF bxpw FAQ.

yea… people have said on here that it prayer won't be x2 xp…
so why would you do it in a double xp weekend, I'll never understand

Yeah I do remember it saying guilded altar didn't count, but I didn't realize they would actually lower it instead of leave it where it was :o

Seems like Gajex was being a little mean to people if they didnt exactly 'read' the post. Oh well, you are not the only one mate. I saw a bunch of people talking about losing money while I was summoning. ;)

Why would you train prayer during bxp?

Aside from the lag etc, which makes the game tick almost not double exp, which is very funny isn't it?

This is my first bxp weekend never been member before ad havnt played rs for like 5 years now, they screwed up big time, first with the timer…didn't think it could get worse but oh yes it got like 10x worse. I got 99 crafting anyway :) Shame about anything else

It wasn't lagging the whole time and even when it was, you were still using half the charms/gp you would have normally been right?

No the game ticks slow down so means if you lagged for 1 second delay, you would've lost half the bonus XP weekend due to lag, and sometimes you couldn't even log on. And no, the game does not continue when it lags unless it's your own internet, but in this case it was the server.

Yeah, the servers lag when there's ~150k+ people on them, below that they are fine. And what I meant was even if you did get x2 xp at half the rate, you're still using half the gp/charms. Let's say it takes you twice as long to get to an obby to make a pouch and you get x2 the xp. Technically you'd be getting the same xp per hour, but only using half the charms, so it's still a win.

Tbh, this BXP was really focused on one and only one skill. SUMMONING. Nuff said. You saved a tonne load of time in collecting charms. If you were to go and collect x2 the amount of charms, it would be shit. Tbh, I am thankful they did this as I managed to hit my summoning target. :P

Yeah I trained summ too a bit, a few weeks ago though i spent 2k crims training summ, so i didnth ave that many charms to use during bxp. I focused mainly on craft/con/farm.

Sucks for you… but you should have read the BXP news.

I concur on this just being a summoning focused weekend … I bet a TON of people got 96 for the Yak … after seeing how fast it was I went all the way to 99 … now I am completely poor (freakin shards) but I probably saved a TON of coin and time!
