What do you prefer, Open or In-Ear Headphones? I'm currently looking to grab a new pair after a friend of mine broke my old Microsoft ones. Currently looking at the Plantronics GameCom 777.

Thanks.

Edit: Wrong section, can a Mod please move to NOTA? Thanks.

I always perfer the ones that just cover your ears with an awesome cushion (overear). The bass on those are sweet. Go Senneheiser.

I prefer inear in public, over ear when I'm at home.

In ear gives more bass and rarely comes out while doing a workout

I'm using in-ear headphones because I can hear the music the best that way. I'm only using headphones when I'm cycling somewhere or when I'm in the train. I don't really feel like hearing all the story's from random people in the train so in-ear headphones are perfect :P

I believe I have Creative EP-630 headphones. Bought them after my apple ones broke and I wanted in-ear so yeah.

I have Headrush Toxic Rok But I also have several pairs of in ear.
I play drums so ovear gives me ear protection while playing to music.

I've got a pair of Allen & Heath Xone xd-40 headphones. Semi over-ear :p I use them both in public (bus/train) and at home. Sound quality is good and VERY comfortable, you could wear them for 8 hours straight without any iritation. + The headphones fold up to a very small size. Seriously, if you're willing to spend over 100 dollars on headphones buy Sennheiser, A&H or pioneer headphones. I used to have a Technics RP-DH1200E-S for DJ'ing, sound quality was amazing but the build quality sucked. Don't buy technics headphones!

LIVING IN THE MOMENT - I'm not going to use YOLO because that saying is for complete and utter noobs :duh:

Another argument I can put across for in ear phones is that i have messed up effect hair style like wolverines hairstyle and putting over head headphones would ruin my hair :(

Hmm.. I think I might go for the open ear, I'm just going to be using them at home for playing games and watching movies. Thanks.

You get much better sound with in-ear plugs compared to open-ear plugs

Go for over ear, so much more comfortable and really great sound. I have sony mdrv500's and they are great. If you can afford them, get audiotechnica athm50's. My brother has them and they are like tose things you wear while using a chainsaw, they block all sound pretty much :D. Very fun to listen to.
