Look this is important:

Random events will no longer activate in the game:
If you are in an event upon log-in, you will still need to complete the event.
It is no longer possible to obtain points towards random event costumes and emotes. You will still be able to spend any remaining points for the immediate future, and we encourage you to do so.
Another method of obtaining the costumes and emotes will be introduced to the game in the near future.
All music tracks linked to random events will be automatically unlocked.

For the last few months, i've always chosen the costume option in anticipation of the removal of randoms. Now I can finally show off my little costumes.

It's going to be great for botters in particular now.
Imagine the bots that run at the monkey knife fighters or the thieves guild for massive exp per hour, they will be able to run for so much longer now.
We should see some much longer proggies being posted from now on.

I always thought that random events were what held simba back from being better than rsbot, epicbot etc. So happy with this update!

Was planning to work on Molly random event again as I have holiday. Well atleast we won't have to deal with random events anymore. Pretty 'sad' to see them being removed to be honest. But botting wise it is good.

What a joyous time lol. I imagine using LividFarm here with randoms every 2 hrs or less. Now that script is truly beast.

They must be very confident about their new detection system to pull back their Random Events. While most of you are rejoicing about this you might want to be very careful for a while, at least, on how you bot in-game. They wouldn't do this unless they had a very good reason.

Maybe but still a bit fishy

I wonder how are they going to mess with bots now that randoms are gone?
Perhaps they have inplemented some new thing on catching them, why else would they remove them? I'll wait for others to bot first and see if they get banned before I bot ;)

BXP weekend has come and I'm going to bot craft hard might as well its pretty fast to 99 with green bodies

This is just too weird. The reason they removed the ransoms was because:
They know bxp weekend is coming up. On this day a lot of people are going to bot. They remove ransoms to make people think it's easier to bot. Then people bot on bxp weekend and while jagex collects data and boom go all botters.

I think I'm just going to bot only the stuff that doesnt require gathering resources. They can't collect data on everything :D
