I don't think massive quantity items like iron ore, or gold ore, would make much profit, if any at all. Just my opinion, however I suppose since free to players get a feel of increased xp this weekend, it could make some money.

Iron is good for a long term investment, I bought like 10m worth when they were around 160 each and sold at 180, for example.
