SRL Archive - Bot Information and Spottings

A "new" bottrain at Falador West I have spotted for some weeks. In an attempt to simulate humanoids they now all make typos.


EDIT: this post was not clear. They are bot-Melters, melting steel and withdrawing 18 coal and 9 iron. But sometimes they miss the "enter amount" and just type 9 in the chat window.

Wow it's pretty sad to see these goldfarmers. Probably all from the same person aswell. The botwatch turned out as a joke and I honestly don't believe they will do a mass banning or something in the future. These bots are chopping yews I guess?

nono, it is melting steel in a bottrain on all worlds. So it is something big. :)

"bottrain" is like what…? A ton of botters all doing the same action?

I just tossed it. Dunno if it exists: bottrain. It is an obvious chain of bots doing the exact same thing.

no they are standing at the bank. They withdraw 18 coal and 9 iron. They are botmelters.

ahhh so its more of a bug than a purpose typo :P I thought they were saying typos on purpose to look human like

If that's the case then we can safely say this humanized typo has failed.

Lovely find there. I saw that someone with a name like this: fsfsfsfsfsgsfsfsf got a pernix body drop.. I was like what the heck

its on all worlds I visit.


EDIT: I have noticed that ChooseOption sometimes fails and types in the chat window. I hope these are not our bots :/

EDIT II: I am working on a superheater. thats why I noticed.

Ah right! I understand now.

Maybe a fail-safe should be added into SRL JUST in case they are using the SRL include

Withdrawing 18 coal would replace the '9' option with 18

I wonder if it would be easier just to have 1 stationary item in the inventory, withdraw 9 iron ores (so that option is now always available via right-click) and then just withdraw-all coal.

That could work. But the thing is, they are goldfarmers, the scripts they use a dirty coded.

2* Coal = 2* 243 = 486
Iron ore = 194
Steel bar= 877

profit per bar = 197 coins. You can do say 60 banks in an hours maybe, times 9 bar (approx 500 bars), times 197 = 106k coins profit per hour.

EDIT: I do superheat, so add another 110 for a nat and you'll end up with something like this, but this creates approx. 750 bars per hour, at 100 gp per bar profit, yields 75k profit. Plus 50k Magic + 10k Smithing XP.
